I dont mean to be condescending but its called "suspended" chord and not "sustained" its not a big thing but suspended explains the function. The third is suspended. Its not a minor nor a major chord (because the third determines that). Here you use at the start an A7sus2 chord, because you have the notes of a 7 chord but the third is "suspended" to the second degree. So instead of AC#EG(7 Chord) or ACEG(minor 7 Chord) its ABEG. You can also make sus4 versions(which are more common) where you suspend the third to the 4th degree, so it would be ADEG. Great video though and interesting topic otherwise 👍👍👍

Ohhhh sht nah you’re good, I’m not very well versed in music theory so I probably should’ve just said “this chord sound nice” instead of calling it something I didn’t understand haha. I thought the first chord would still be considered minor because I kept the minor 3rd in there, but just added an “a” above it, but idk man, besides scales and basic chords I’m clueless 😂 Thanks for the insight, Imma pin this so other folks can get some schoolin 🔥

Brother this is like giving people an axle and four wheels and telling them to go for a drive. If you're not writing music because you are inspired to and instead just trying to copy something that's fine, but to water it down as if it's simple is an insult to artists like Deftones. At least make a better song if you're going to make an example. You are right though, this song was easy to make and isn't good because there's no emotion behind it. I guess if that's what people were looking to learn from this you got them. Not trying to be a dick, I truly wish you the best. This video just isn't it.
