Thank you for the video. While I did not make a new handle for a sickle I bought last year I nevertheless had to take it apart as it loosened with a little use. The glue I used did not do the trick so I will try the Araldite. The tang on my sickle does not come out the handle like you show so I suspect there are different styles of handles around. I am in Ireland. Thanks again.

So, did you plane away the rest of the material (from the larger block), or saw most of it? Seems like a lot of planing to my untutored eyes.

I just sawed it off all around but I only showed doing one corner to save time. Regards Cliff

I did it myself with the Woodglut plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.
