Hello, A nice organizer idea for the workshop. You've created beautiful organizer boxes with the French lock system. I also liked the sandpaper organizer cabinet. Now you can store and use screws and similar items more practically. Congratulations. See you. I wish you a healthy and beautiful new week. Big greetings.

I've been wanting to build a screw storage cleat system for a while. Yours turned out nice! I thought you were installing the cleats upside down at first until I remembered you cut down the wider cleats at an angle. :)

Thanks Jason. It was to keep you on your toes 😋 The cleat angle was two things. As you mentioned I cut it at an angle so that I could use the offcut for the cleat on the boxes. Secondly I wanted to see if making the cleat angled on the bottom would make it easier to remove the boxes from the cleat, so that you dont lift the box up into an edge. That actually turned out to work quite well. Even though the cleats are close together, it is easy to remove the boxes, and i dont bump into the cleat above.

Fascinating shots of the back of your elbow! ;O

I know... 🙈 That is indeed one of the angels I look my best from 😬 I wanted to have something in there where i removed the stud... but the camera man could have done a better job there 😀

@@HeartofWood I like the French cleat "drawer" idea and it's great for that space, but that shot of your elbow and part of the multi-tool, I couldn't figure out what was going on there. You were removing a stud?
@HeartofWood3 жыл бұрын
@@RickFarris Yeah, I was removing a part of the stud that was sticking out. I pointed at it and talked about it in the video just before the famous elbow shot :-) When the shed was build I think there was a lazy carpenter that did not have more of the right thickness of wood as was to lazy to cut it to the right thickness before installing it.

I could not get the thickness of the wood used. It would be good to provide such info than playing a background music
@HeartofWoodАй бұрын
I didnt mention the thickness in the video 🙂 But all the sides and bottom of the boxes are 6mm the cleat size really dosnt matter. It just have to be the same size as the board you put on the wall. Happy building.
