Wow! I mean, I know this is basic animation, but damn, it looks way easier than what you usually hear and see from other 3D modelers and animators. They always try to mistify their craft, as if it's some super hard physics course that only 0.00000001% of people would understand. I like you, sir :)

We need a lecture on "cinematic effect" in 3d animation. How to fit CGI with the camera recording so that they do not differ from each other in terms of motion blur and FPS, in what frame to render the animation, at what camera settings the effect would be the same as in the cinema.

This is a great way to get really stylized with an action scene. Shutter can be keyframed, so keep blur to a minimum/default for most of the scene, but then when you want a part to really pop, bump up the shutter just for that part. For instance, your characters are fighting, you could bump up motion blur a little for the fight, but at a key moment when one character does a spin kick, crank up the shutter to 11 for the spin, then back down as they make contact. Then use the graph editor to adjust how the speed the high shutter starts and stops. It will make the spin really stand out and seem more powerful.

Thanks I feel like a pro using the graph editor now not a lot of videos explain the graph editor well

Cool beans. I downloaded the free version and so far it seems like the extreme PBR except they are procedural and not image textures. I likely will upgrade from the free version.

At the end what did you mean about render the sequence of images? Is it better to export the images and then use something ffmpeg to create a video out of them as opposed to having blender do it?
@hardlogic75762 жыл бұрын
before watching the Video i think you have animated the shutter speed (motion blur value ), right?

Would it be possible to add motion blur at certain times or to certain objects? like for example a horror scene where the monster is just constantly in a state of motion blurness but his surroundings arent? I suppose you can render two videos and then stitch them together but wondering if blender had that other option? anyway thank you for the videos, theyve been really fun and insightful! especially since theyre all not that long to follow.
@NicholasMarshall2 жыл бұрын
That sounds like something you would do in the compositor. Check out the vector_blur node.

Your storage lasts longer if you use a WebP sequence instead of PNG.

I will try that out

@@TheDucky3D Be aware that Blender switches between lossy and lossless compression via the quality. 100% is lossless with very big files. But still smaller than PNG. But most animations shouldn't need lossless compression.
