Enjoyed the video.👍 I bought a whole bunch of pouches so I could have a standard, always the same size, material etc. They are 5 cm long. I typically cut my bands a bit long and bundle the extra at the fork end. That way I have a bit of extra length to fix them if they break. Sometimes they are just a little bit too short, annoyingly so. It then occured to me that I have some 7cm long pouches. Using those, I gain back the length I lost and I can draw the shorter rubber normally. I lose a tiny bit of power, but not a concern for target shooting. I do recommend being even more diligent at inspecting your bands when you're using repaired bands. Have a great day everyone. 😁

Try amber belt wrap and tuck . And get yourself some 100% band material 👌. Good video !
@hudsonhertz3 жыл бұрын
Yep, I normally use amber belt but my EVO slingshot has a sharp spot on the fork where you tie it on and the amber belt keeps breaking so I just used band. I'll try to get some 100% bands.

@@hudsonhertz i use amber belt to tie on my pouches wrap and tuck . Look neat and last ages . Bit fiddly but i only make for myself . Get in touch with jan nowak on Facebook for 100% band material 👌

Dear Sir! Is the bandage set homemade? Made of welding tweezers?

Dude what did you use yo snug up the band and pouch?? Is that a rubber string or just a string?
@hudsonhertz9 ай бұрын
It’s like a rubber string, you can get it from SniperSling, works pretty well and hasn’t failed yet.

Hey bro, im from australia and im 14. Im thinking of getting my bands and stuff from snipersling aswell. What band tapers and stuff would you reccomemd for practising and for hunting? And where did you bulk buy ammo from for cheap? Cheers bro
@hudsonhertz2 ай бұрын
@@Gatortom8261 Hey dude, for practicing I like a lighter band-set, 20mm-12mm taper with 0.6 -0.7mm bands, normally pretty good. Depends what you are hunting but for a good all around target band and hunting band I’ve been playing around with a 23mm-13mm taper at 0.7mm thick. They have performed pretty good but remember hunting is more about good shot placement than power, if you have both your doing good. Don’t forget to practice with your hunting setup. Good luck and thanks for the comment!

@@hudsonhertz cheers bro apreciate it. Have you tried snipersling black because ive heard it is pretty good. Where do you get your ammo from?
@hudsonhertz2 ай бұрын
@ I’ve tried it, for some reason they don’t last very long for me. Like under 50 shots. I’m not sure if it’s the weather or a bad batch or what but they seem to work for everyone else so I’m not sure on them. I buy my ammo from Amazon. 1,000 steels is like 15$

Can you tell me the name of the band and the name of the producer?. Please let me know if I can buy a made one instead of making it myself?. If you need to make and use it, please let me know the overall size other than the bow joint and pouch joint.
@hudsonhertz Жыл бұрын
You can buy band material or premade bands from Snipersling if you don’t want to make them yourself 👍

Great job Hudson, and that chrome tool is called Hemostats btw. ;-) I also wanted to thank you for giving me the info on that little Outdoor Edge Flip-N-Zip folding saw you had in your Mexico video. I ordered one off Ebay, just came in, and it's the perfect little size to keep in my natty crafting tool bag that goes everywhere I go.
