G'day and I hear Ya, Since I can't be a stonemason anymore, because it did my back in I have been vegetating in front of my computer. So I am getting back into making things and trying to make a light weight camping pack set up. hand tools and woodworking. I used to carve stone because I liked it more than wood, even rode up the mountain each weekend on my pushbike with a backpack full of stone carvings to sell to tourists when i was young and fit. So now I can at least go camping and carve a stick. Wood is a pain but it will give me something to learn more about and get good at.

I've just gotten into this as an old codger, with a Fowler's Sparrow. I haven't attached the bands yet, so finding this is great. The last time I used a catty was probably 50 years ago. A small plastic catty with grey SQUARE tubing! They lasted about three days and were utter rubbish. What a great tutorial. Thank you so much. It's much appreciated.

Thanks your the only one I have watched that explains the difference between Ott and ttf the way the bands lay coming off the pouch
@thefloorstalker60642 жыл бұрын
I very much appreciate the detail you went into here John. While I have gone over it numerous times I gnored the point of attaching the the OTT band to the pouch as you describe. I picked up a TitanHunter M95 TTF recently from Chris and have been doing alot of practce learning how to shoot TTF. I put a TTF band set on my OTT EVO V1 and you'd of thought I just started in this sport. Could not group consistently to save my life. Of course, I'm thinking how could it make that big of a difference. So long story short, tied an OTT bandset up and installed it. WTF Total suprise. Consistant groups at 3 centimeters no problem. Thanks again for your timely instruction.

In all honesty if the anchor and references are the same the band will shoot the same every time…. If your are putting a OTT elastic on a TTF frame or vice versa the band will have a twist in it…. As with everything in Slingshots it’s down to preference but why have a twist in the band if u don’t have to hahah…. Happy shooting 🎯💯👻

Nice video John, those bands you just made are the tidiest I’ve ever seen. I remember years ago when me and me family first started getting into the sport, we’d help each other out make bands, this is in the good ole days when weird Joerg sprave first started knocking abaowt mind. Anyways when we used to make them we’d have like four of us making one band everyone holding a different piece of the band set. Two of us nipping and stretching like a mil of rubber going blue in the face and another two wrapping and tucking with bout 40 turns and fkn ell to see you do it yourself make it look a piss a piss made me laugh. Hey when you going to make another sea fishing video. Let us see you catch a whopper flounder, I’ve heard some of the estuarys down southwest are unreal. Keep up the good work mate

G'day, I am Old so I know how to make slingshots but its now illegal to own them in my state. Go figure hey. Anyways, I do still like to know how to do things properly and easily, so thanks for the video. One other thing i like to know is ways to get things without maybe needing to pay much if anything for materials. With that I had a blood test the other month and the women used a rubber tourniquet. At the end she was just going to throw it away, so I asked for it. It is about 2 foot long. Thats a slingshots worth! So next time I go to the doc, I might have to pop into the blood testing area and ask if they have any they don't need.

oh, your state's laws are so strict. what do you need that for ? You can buy a small one, online from China. Its price is only a few dollars.😊
@karnovtalonhawk97085 ай бұрын
@@granger9967 My states laws make slingshots illegal, and like I said why pay when I could even make my own metal one out of old drink cans. I get your point though, I just like making shit. Also I don't really buy off the net and have no idea if packages are marked a certain way or how much they check them and I really don't want to risk having to talk to police, over a 10 buck slingshot.
