Hi i followed another recipe d baked my bread .The recipe called fr 30 mins bt i stopped baking my bread at 20 mins itself as my upper part turned out to be too brown.i kept in middle rack woth both rods on .my bread was tasty bt it hd dat yeasty smell. Can u pls tell wat mistakes should i rectify while baking bread next time ?

Wow ❤ , your voice is so calm and soft and you make it sound so easy and doable. Does it make a 600 grams loaf approximately ? Can we also just make a loaf directly on a flat surface without a pan ?

Thank you. Actually I haven’t weighed the bread and so not sure about the weight. Yes you can make this bread without the loaf pan.. but after about 4 hours at room temperature, you may need to reshape it once again ( as it may loose it’s shape)and then continue with the rest 1 hour of proofing . Then bake the bread 👍.

Hi Nina, we can do the same with whole wheat flour. but the bread will be denser and not very soft. I would suggest 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 all purpose flour to get a better result. You may need to add slightly more water like a table spoon or so, while adding whole wheat flour as whole whaert flour absorb slightly more water.

I have used all purpose flour with 10% protein. We can use either bread flour or plain flour with protein 10% or more 👍

If you bake on the lowest rack doesn't the bottom burn??? Mine always does

It depends on the type oven. Every oven is slightly different. so if it is that way in your oven, then keep in the middle rack 👍
