Hello. Thank you for sharing your recipes. I'll let you know how it goes. I use cane sugar I cannot wait to try this recipe, especially because I can control the amount of sodium and no soy! 💖 I like teriyaki sauce and found this online... Combine 1 cup water , ¼ cup soy sauce (I'll be using home made 😊) 5 teaspoons packed brown sugar 1 tablespoon honey, or more to taste ½ teaspoon ground ginger ¼ teaspoon garlic powder 2 tablespoons cornstarch ¼ cup cold water. Combine 1 cup water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, ginger, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until nearly heated through, about 1 minute. Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cold water together in a cup; stir until dissolved. Add to the saucepan. Cook and stir sauce until thickened, 5 to 7 minutes. The reviews rate as a good base recipe, many added 1/2 water 1/2 vinegar (white or apple cider), more (fresh) ginger, fresh garlic and some used onion powder.

You don't need to eat all that cancer-causing sugar. This recipe is way better and tastes virtually like the real thing. * 4 tablespoons beef bouillon * 4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar * 2 teaspoons dark molasses * ¼ teaspoon ground ginger * 1 pinch white pepper * 1 pinch garlic powder * * 1 tablespoon of Himalayan salt (personal modification) * 1 ½ cups water In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the beef bouillon, balsamic vinegar, molasses, ginger, white pepper, garlic powder, and water. Boil gently until liquid is reduced to about 1 cup, about 15 minutes.

It does NOT taste of Soy Sauce at all. You are better off using Fish Sauce, Brown Sugar and a little Vinegar to emulate the Umami of Soy Sauce. If you're not allergic to Beans and Lentils, then Use ANY type of Dry Lentil to make your fermented sauce. Great examples are Chickpeas or Wing Beans. We make Bean curds from those here in Asia.
