i'd recommend japanese sunscreens. they have very high spf protection and usually never leave a whitecast (this is coming from someone who's dark-skinned). they also are very moisturizing so you probably wouldn't even need a moisturizer

do you have any recommendations?

THIS is perfect. I've been trying to find videos on youtube of people talking about incorporating SPF into as many steps as you can in your makeup routine but didn't find any. I recently realised the importance of sunscreen and so I tried to replace as many steps in my makeup routine with products with SPF. My current routine is: sunscreen lotion of SPF 50 Nyx Bare with me primer SPF 30 Bare minerals complexion rescue SPF30 the rest of my makeup and then I set with an SPF powder, but I've been on the hunt for good but affordable powders with SPF and good mist with SPF for top up. This video is perfect. I have also seen bareminerals has a mineral veil powder with SPF 25 Ibut it's not that affordable. :/

Thank you so much! This video was super helpful. One thing I have been using to apply makeup is a silicone beauty blender. It is flat and helps to better control how much product we are applying, less wasteful and easier to clean/more hygenic. Especially if you are not home and need to touch up, you can travel with it, it’s clean and dries fast.

It depends on where you live too. The weather plays huge factor here. I live in very humid, hot climate country and to mattifying foundation on top of sunscreen is hard to do. Even when I go with chemical sunscreen, no white cast, less oily compared to physical sunscreen. Even during waiting time (20 minutes), not doing anything exessivem..sweat start to break out. Again, due to hot climate. Wearing sunscreen for people living in tropical country is a big challenge. And until now I haven't seen anyone in the industry deliver some answers.

I have the Ulta beauty spf makeup setting spray (SPF 50)…I like it for the price and what it does…but it does have a strong scent of spf…and lord if it gets in your eyes it’s wraps haha…but I didn’t notice a white cast…I am lighter skinned though…but it didn’t leave me extra dewy or anything…something worth trying for some I think…
