Keep up the work man, I really look forward to videos like this.

Just some constructive criticism, and a friendly suggestion from a fan. I actually felt that you explained it way more clearly when you recorded after the fact. And you have time to put in clips of other things showing examples like when you put the spear through the plate, and doing so without interrupting the momentum of the tutorial. And I can hear you a lot better, obviously. So yeah, I would like to see you kind of mess around with that method and see whether you might like it more, or not. Also, if you aren't talking when you're building, you can focus more on what you're doing, reducing the danger risk and reducing the chance that you might make a mistake. If you read this, I'd be super thrilled, and I just want to say keep up what you're doing

Pete Derksen I'm late to the party, but I watched that video this morning. It didn't look like all of the rounds made it through.. plus, 5.56 is great at punching through metal, but it would break apart, leaving not enough energy to pierce the $30 body armour.... possibly
@edgarbleikur19296 жыл бұрын
FYI oven baking aluminium makes it extremely hard (former automotive industry toolmaker)
@wesleyjohnston26135 жыл бұрын
His 30$ body armor might stop 556 if he put a piece of tile or some form of ceramic in front of the fiber panel. The ceramic would do a decent job of breaking apart the bullet before it got to the fibers... but even that’s a long shot. People underestimate 556. Velocity defeats armor, it’s simple.
@isaacb20165 жыл бұрын
He could also put ceramic tiles in the bullet proof armor and that would break up the 5.56

ZNA Productions can you do a heavy broad sword or maybe a trident? By the way, I love your videos and you never fail to make me smile!
@donny_hellfire2577 жыл бұрын
Yes do a heavy broadsword. That would be freakin awesome.
@juliantrueman65427 жыл бұрын
Sword making is really hard to do right. It pretty much requires forge work. If you just make it from bar stock it's gonna be minimall katana levels of terrible. Trident is totally doable though! You could maybe make the tips from files for hardened tool steel, and fasten them to a barstock head, then mount that on a shaft. It'd have a post apocalyptic look, but that's not a problem for ZNA stuff.
@niscent_7 жыл бұрын
yeah, a sword would be really hard. a utility fixed blade would be interesting. a long knife with a thick blade made in a metal file, with a thick pommel to hammer stuff. maybe with a sub hilt to improve the handling. the assembly would be similar to a sword, but without the troubles of the forge.
@ghosturiel7 жыл бұрын
Joergspave made a homemade "ork" sword for 10$ out of bar stock and compared it to a Katana( Not sure of it's quality level). It was okay, certainly enough to be dangerous, and it seemed very durable. Fit in with the post apocalyptic look as well
@juliantrueman65427 жыл бұрын
+ghosturiel it couldn't hold an edge and it bent when he struck a tree like 3 times. not even sideways, it bent forward. like the strongest direction a sword has.
@JohnDoe-on6ru7 жыл бұрын
Stab you in the armpit? That's not the problem, what if they tickle you? So about the top part, is there any danger that if you bend down too fast you could drive this thing into your neck, or for example if you are in a car accident while wearing this? How secure is it, as in how likely is it to ride up to your neck?
@lenny_13694 жыл бұрын
This is actually close to the WWI trench armor, but those kinds of armor are a lot heavier considering that their made of iron and also thick to stop bullet or shrapnels, they're more restrictive and compared to this it didn't protect the back, but it served its purpose being able to at least protect the vital organs from hand held guns.

with most armor and vest today, can't they still stab you in the arm pit?

Ikr. I'd love to see these 13 years old explain to military personnel how their plates and carriers are useless.

let's say you're wearing this under your ZNA sweater that you bought and you're down the street when suddenly a strange man pulls out a knife and tries to stab you. his first thought isn't to stab you in the arm pit he would most likely go for the stomach/heart region but since ce you are wearing armour you're unscathed and have enough time to run away. if it were a fist fight the attackers hands will hurt.

i just had a weird 2 am thought, you're getting mugged, he goes to stab you, the armor stops the knife, you shove and kick him to the ground and back away, but you remember, you made a helmet, a foldable helmet, similar in style and appearance to an old templar helmet, you slap that sucker on your noggin, shout to the heavens "DEUS VULT!" and proceed to headbutt your assailant.

just to say, swords are light and flexible, unless you have a sword made for breaking handles.
@blackhawk-xt4sb7 жыл бұрын
oh there he is again the person who pretends to know what hes talking about. he said light.. and all swords are a short sword like a gladius is usually under 2 pounds and a longsowrd is about 2.5 to 3.5 pounds and a greatsword is about 4.5 5.5 pounds and that can go through gamberson and flesh with ease. oh yeah and all those swords are flexible in a way. idk about you but rapiers are not supposed to be flexible and 3-5 pounds is pretty light when most of the weight is balanced next to the hands.

blackhawk8202 A battle axe weighed between two and six pounds. Swords were flexible so they were hard to break. They were light

blackhawk8202 I was talking about his thought on steel plate armor. He said Heavy swords and axes and stuff. I was just saying they were light.

A fuckin' Orangutan Weight tends to have little to no effect when it comes to making a good sword. Your sword always needs to be light, no matter the purpose. If it's too heavy than you can't do anything with it. Most sword would be used for thrusting more than cutting except in Japan and other areas that are close to Asia or in Asia (I think) so you always want it to be light. If your sword is quite heavy controlling it and edge alinement are more difficult, which makes cutting properly hard.

Wrong. Aluminum is very difficult to cut with abrasive wheels.
