I've been following you for a while and always enjoy your videos. I buy supplies from your website and have been tooling along for about 1 year now, trying to replicate some of your work with mixed results :) . I was wondering you could do a Alistor Staff? Its from Hazbin Hotel , and he is the main character. I've found a few diy, honestly not very good, and can't get it right on my own, I just suck at being original I guess. I watch all your videos so hopefully you'll do one before halloween so i can try to reproduce it for my grand daughters costume in october. Thanx a ton for your content, I really enjoy your videos.

Im a starship troopers prop collector, I have stuff from all 3 of the live films including 2 full sets of armor, both a hero A grade and a B grade set of armor/gear, helmet and all and this is by far the best foam version of the armor ive ever seen. Not knocking the version from "heroes workshop" but this really does stand out, despite having original gear the only thing that stands out as off for this is the shoulders and everything else is genuinely great, even the color I can see this being passed off very well even from up close if you dont know what to look for on an original set, amazing job dude.

On those rivets you actually riveted in place, can suggest getting the 'extra long' rivets and adding rivet washers on the backside.
@SKSProps9 ай бұрын
Yeah I had 1/8" washers on hand and was going to add them but after a scrap piece test the plasticard held fine and with the additional glue and 2mm piece these are good to go. Plus I didn't want to but another box of rivets just for 4 extended barrels I'd never use again

The Jaffa armor would be fairly easy to make using foam. I've toyed with the idea of making a set myself but I don't think I'd have the patience to do all of the detailing that goes into the armor. While all it would take would be to trace the designs into the foam then go over them with an Xacto and a heat gun, there's just a lot of it to do. But it is ideal for making from foam and the screen used pieces were cast from some form of castable foam material.

The two pouches around 23:03 are airsoft ones. So what you need to do is Weave the back strap under the second and 3rd Horizonal strap to keep it from moving up and down on smaller sized belts, Or in this case armor. If the Pouch moves upward change the order you weaved the back side of it, starting with the 1st ( on the pouch itself)and than over the armor's belt and under the second strap on the back of the pouch. Should be solid at that point. :) PSsss I play airsoft.... Make it Airsoft BB proof and it would sell like crazy!

Hey Steven. Loved the video, I found it super helpfully (I have never even touched eva foam before, but I really wanna do this). Question: I'm a 6'2 240lb guy with a bigger frame, how should I go about adjusting the measurements? I'm not sure how to measure myself to make the armor fit, I would love some advice for this, especially for the helmet because I got a big head on me. Thank you.
@SKSProps6 ай бұрын
Hey, maybe scale it up 5% but the armor itself adjusts pretty well based off of the straps that are attached. For the helmet I also have a large head so you might not have to scale it if you do maybe 2-3%
@thickmclargehuge44489 ай бұрын
question: i see in the video you use surebonder hot glue and was wondering in your opinion do you feel it could be used as an alternative to contact cement in builds? i ask cuz i don't have proper ventilation at my apt for contact cement use
@SKSProps9 ай бұрын
In my opinion no it can't replace contact cement. However that being said if that's all you can use that's all you can use. Also notice most of my builds I use superglue not contact cement. The cement is only used in very large or heavy wear areas. Otherwise 9/10 times I will use bob smith super glue
