For Holographic Sticker paper, I use UOKOH waterproof holographic sticker paper. For white background sticker with glossy finish, I use JandJ Packaging Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper because it's compatible with laserjet printer. Same with the holo.

Do you always use the matte? Are all the papers the matte version? does the ink play a part? I made some stickers once and the ink was rubbing off :(
@Cricuter9 ай бұрын
I've always used matte just because that's what I've always heard people do. It's possible that glossy paper would make the ink smear. I would try googling "sticker ink coming off" and seeing what you find. I haven't personally had that issue so I'm not sure.

I had the same problem with my printer, not taking in different types of photo paper or holographic paper. I turned it upside down and cleaned the wheels that load the paper and that did the trick.

I'll have to give that a try. I really like that paper I wish my printer would take it

How does the cricut know where to cut the stickers?
@CricuterАй бұрын
The Cricut adds registration marks to your paper before it prints it out. Basically 4 little L brackets in the corners. Then it does it's measuring magic to figure out exactly where to cut.

@@Cricuter THANKS! That is MAGIC! I can't wait to try it. Now, I have to find a program that will allow me to create my own stickers and sticker shapes!

Did you have a problem with any of these papers? Smearing your ink? Some of mine smeared even after days

Nope no issues

I use WeLiu printable vinyl. It is water resistant, takes laminate well and the colors are very vibrant! I love the price. About .27 per piece. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about all of the different brands you are testing! I've only tried the two Cricut products you're testing. The Cricut printable vinyl is expensive. Their sticker paper is too, but I don't like it very much. I don't like the backing. It's just too thick. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! I'm off to watch the video🤠

why do you use the Washi setting?
@Cricuter9 ай бұрын
The washi setting cuts "kiss cut" which is where it cuts out a bunch of stickers on a sheet. This is different from "Die cut" where it cuts out the shape of the sticker without the surrounding sheet. So if you want to sell one sticker at a time do die-cut. I did die-cut during Halloween because I wanted to give out individual stickers in the candy bowl. If I wanted to give a sheet of stickers I would do kiss cut. For die cut I do the sticker setting and it cuts all the way through the backing

You have a great turorial video. Very informative. Only complaint I have is please get a good microphone. It was hard for me to listen to the audio. I have sensory issues. Otherwise you did a great job. Thank you!

I totally agree with you. I thought my voice sounded kind of tinny when I was editing but I didn't feel like reshooting the whole video. I'll use my other mic for next time! Sorry about that!

You might want to either edit this video or at least notate it. Design space, as far as I can tell, forces you to start a new project and then opens a new canvas and inserts the newly uploaded image into it. There is no way I can find to just upload an image, like what you were showing. Also, the screens you are using aren't the same as mine. There is no "complex", "moderately complex", "Simple" choice after removing the background. There is also no button to "apply and continue". My design space (downloaded at the end of last month) forces my new download into an "untitled project" whether I want it to or not. This idea of uploading all my files first and then putting them into a project was apparently too convenient for Cricut users, so they axed it. If you can tell me what I am missing here I am all ears; otherwise you might want to consider updating this. I'm literally pulling my hair out every time I upload and image and it automatically starts a new project and then inserts the image.
