I just learned about dry roasted chickpeas a few weeks ago and they are awesome! I have a nut allergy and these taste like a cross between peanuts and sunflower seeds, they are amazing.

+The Vegetarian Baker Loved it! They were super yummy. Just the right amount of crunch. I was also curious do you leave the outer part of the chickpeas on? (I'm referring to that weird clear shell lol)
@TheVegetarianBaker8 жыл бұрын
I leave it, but you can remove it if you don't like it.

Made these up yesterday and they worked successfully,which is great as I have given up chocolate and most other sweet treats due to having too many health related issues. They gave me a boost of energy so thank you for sharing!

Yummy! I have printed off both recipes! Was wondering, since I try and maintain a clean diet, and don't eat sugar (white granulated), can I substitute the granulated white sugar for coconut sugar? Would it be the same measurement? Can't wait to try both of these out :)

I'm confused. In the video you say 450 degrees but in the printable recipe you say 400f. I only ask as I really burnt the spicy chickpeas and I think this was due to the oven temp being wrong.
@TheVegetarianBaker8 жыл бұрын
+Curtis p Oh shoot. My bad. I didn't realize i said the wrong number. it is 400*F not 450. I am so sorry.

I have a bag of dry chickpeas and no idea what to do with them, can i skip the first step and just roast them with the other ingredients ?
@TheVegetarianBaker8 жыл бұрын
+LetsBeClear I would still soak them and boil the chickpeas until they are soft to bite into. Then dry and bake. I have a feeling that they would be way to hard to bite into if you didn't do that.
@pistacho.cerrao8 жыл бұрын
+The Vegetarian Baker If you soak them all night, they will be hard, but you can eat them easily as with falafel. If you soak them, then don't bake them and just heat them with all the ingredients in a pan.
@TheVegetarianBaker8 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks. :) Had no clue. I love falafel too :)

Can you use honey instead?
@TheVegetarianBaker8 жыл бұрын
+dimitri papas You can, but it wouldn't be vegan any more. If you want to keep it vegan, I would suggest using Agave or Brown Sugar.

I think theres too much cinnamon for this recipe. Mine didn't turn out the way it looked, and they didn't taste very good :/
@TheVegetarianBaker7 жыл бұрын
oh i'm sorry. It worked out great for me. I'd suggest if the cinnamon was a bit over powering, just lower the amount. :) Hope that helps.

MAREYA SUNSHINE Also try using a different oil as well. Olive oil might not be the best for a sweeter flavor item
