I am following your channel assiduously, i have recently approached FL Studio, i find it fantastic, very intuitive and expandable, i've always used a real synthesizer to record along with Cubase, software that i am abandoning to move to something faster intuitive and productive like FL so i need some time to fully learn this software. "For me" the hardest part is having an idea on which melody to create, many times i create a song in my head, but then i find it hard to remember it and put it into action in the software, it's not about drum tracks, bass etc ... but about the actual melody, creating something engaging that really makes me believe i feel in a Cyberpunk world is difficult, to give you an example something similar to "Blade Runner 2049 Sea Wall", more ambient in short, i lack an idea and i need an input to make it happen, a thousand times thanks for what you do, you are helping me a lot.

I have a question: How does one structure a song? I mean like how many bars is the intro? How many bars the break? And so on. I love doing trance. I know trance producers vary, but the standard rule is how many bars? Thanks . I would really appreciate it!
@AnotherMonster

JNB most genres vary quite a bit. A lot of edm genres are similar but as far as trance goes I don’t have much experience making it. What I would recommend is using a reference track and essentially copying the structure. A lot of edm genres have a specific structure because it makes it easier when you’re djing the tracks. You already pretty much know what’s going to happen at any given time.

Why do you use the exact same envelope twice on the filter?
@AnotherMonster
@AnotherMonster 5 жыл бұрын
TheZombieParade honestly I’m not really sure why I did that. When I was making the preset I wasn’t doing anything in a particular order like I did in the tutorial so it is probably just something I did at some point which had very little if any effect on the actual sound lol. I’d recommend experimenting with that and seeing if you can hear any difference at all. For the tutorial I basically just recreated the sound exactly how I did it originally, but when I actually am putting together these presets it’s much more all over the place.

So. Tell me. Don't beat around the bush. Just tell me straight. Don't skirt the issue....do you like GMS? Don't be shy. Just TELL US. So what comes next? How to do the voice, grow a mullet or go all Duran Duran on us?

Cricri don’t reveal my strategies. 😂 Tbh I do like GMS but it’s not def not my favorite synth. There’s just not really any tutorials out there on it and I think it deserves more love than it gets

@@AnotherMonster Absolutely. It's no-one's favourite synth but it's really useful, light on its feet and totally under-utilised. Of course, you are also going to do a full series on SliceX and DirectWave, but I won't tell anyone because you don't like it when I reveal your strategies.
