Awesome! This is simple, easy and cheap. Most other videos on KZbin have people making carts with hundreds of dollars in tools: miter saws, planers, complex joints, huge workbenches to lay the material on, etc...

Thank you so much for this wonderful video! As a 51 year old female who’s just getting into woodworking, this is the most doable cart making video that I’ve found. I just bought a new Dewalt miter saw and have nothing to put it on. Your video and instructions are great and I love the way you show close up video so that I can see what you’re doing. Congratulations on your new saw. That one is on my wish list. Keep the videos coming. New subscriber here!

A couple days ago I commented below on how I'd like to make one of these tables. Well, I was so impressed with what I learned from the video that I went out that day to buy the materials I needed, and this afternoon I built it all by myself (about 4 hours total). I'm a small woman and I was able to do it without hollering for my wife to come help. Its simplicity and ease of building was nothing short of amazing, it's practical usefulness more than I expected by a country mile. I made a couple of modifications: I chose not to use wheels because I intend for the table saw to be essentially stationary; instead of having it sit on a plywood base, I decided to use the plywood (actually MDF) as a shelf resting on the 2x4 bracing. It's incredibly sturdy. It's not pretty, but it's a tool! Who cares about pretty? As long as it's square and plumb, that's all that matters. Thank you again for posting this video and offering the free plans. You are a star when it comes to designing and building simple and useful projects not needing $2,000 tools. Your projects are a novice's dream! Keep up the great work!

Great video, many thanks. I have one comment though (sorry)- when you push wide pieces of sheet goods through the table saw using a push stick, keep it closer to the blade. If you push on the other side of the sheet it will tend to rotate towards the blade and if you ever do that when for whatever reason you have the riving knife removed, you will learn all about kickback! Stay safe and keep right on making good videos please.

Used your video and plans last weekend to make a cart for my new tablesaw. Only had two issues: from originally watching this video until standing in Lowe’s with the parts list was about 1 weeks time. In that time I forgot you’d built two carts. I only needed to build one. I blindly bought everything on the parts list. Only realized I had twice as many 2x4s as I needed when I got home and started unloading . Second thing, I was trying to match my overall height of my cart + saw to an existing workbench. Came up about 1/4 inch short. Plan is to grab a 2 foot by 2 foot piece of 1/4 plywood today and slap it on top. So a couple goofs on my part but ended up with a solid little cart. Thanks for helping me kickoff my first project.

I kind of did the same thing although mine wasn't near as nice looking as yours. I also made a makeshift type of French cleat to easily connect the 2 carts together. Cut a 2x4 down the middle at a 45degree angle and attach each half onto each cart. Now simply lift one side of one cart and set it into the corresponding cleat on the other cart. Presto! Connected, although you'll still need to lock the casters.

This is EXACTLY what I need: a mobile table for a new saw without a stand. I figured I could find plans on KZbin for a simple, inexpensive but sturdy DIY table, and this fits the bill perfectly. I'll only make the small cart because it's all I need. It's so simple that even a newbie like me should be able to make it in a single day. You could use it for a drill press, tabletop router, or just about any stationary power tool. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

Was looking for nice and simple to do. Thanks for the video. This is my next project because so far I've been having to use my table saw on the floor. Will be safer to put it at waist level with an outfeed. An improvement could be making some latches that will secure them together to avoid the outfeed from moving away when cutting larger pieces.

Thanks for showing an easy, but perfectly adequate way to make tool stands. A lot of videos here show fully jointed stands that take hours to make, and to be honest, it's unnecessary. My bandsaw is a trade model, so weighs in heavy, but has been perfectly secure on a similar design, albeit with a bit of glue for extra strength. Rather than bolt the castors directly onto the bandsaw table's base I constructed a mdf dolly from 2 x 18mm mdf, with a removable frame on top that the table locates within. I can then borrow the dolly to (occasionally) move heavy stuff round my barn.

Great project. I am considering a new DWE7485 compact 8 1/4 table saw with no stand because the stands prove to be pretty unstable. It will replace my old 1951 Cast Iron Craftsman. This cart is just what I need for the new saw. And I love the idea of the outfeed table/cart as well. Since I have the BoraMate castors from the base I built for the old craftsman, I will use them for this cart. I would definitely recommend them or something similar over regular locking castors. My BoraMates were spendy at $50 per set they were needed for the heavy old craftsman. And when you set them down they STAY! Great video. Subbed you! Looking forward to seeing some more of your stuff.

You could make several modular carts and add drawbolt latches to connect them as needed. I'm thinking about building a table saw cart like this, but I need to use it in my basement. I was thinking that some kind of modular bench would be good...designing each section to be able to fit through a standard doorway, but then they can all be latched together to make one, larger table when in use.

@@Makify1 I used adjustable table legs from Amazon. A 4 pack was like $13. With the casters raised up a little, I'm able to adjust my table to be level, then move it back away after. I have a small garage that needs to make a home for my car still. I admit though, a drill hex bit for the drill makes adjusting legs go faster.
