Hi Angel, this is so great. I make a peach apple fruit tea ... apple juice, sliced peaches and apples ... I put a cinnamon stick in my hubby's teacup because he likes the hint of cinnamon at the end. Watching this video makes me want a cup. Thank you! I have to share this with my tea loving friend Libby.

I remember a few years ago this was pretty hot in China. I didn't know that it originated from Taiwan, but it makes sense now.

Angel Wong's Kitchen I don't have one so what could I use instead of a tea warmer?
@angelwongskitchen10 жыл бұрын
jade bory You could use your stove instead. Just make sure to heat the water & orange juice prior to adding the fruit. Once you add the fruit set your stove to the lowest temperature possible.

Where do you get your tea warmer!! Will be making your fruits tea pretty soon
@angelwongskitchen10 жыл бұрын
I bought my cast iron tea warmer at Cost Plus World Market. It looks like they are sold out online, but if you live near one you can check to see if they have it in stock. Or on Amazon here: amzn.to/11PI0gn

You said you can freeze the extra fruit. Frozen fruit is often mushy, does that affect the taste of the tea?
@angelwongskitchen10 жыл бұрын
Bryan Fields I haven't had an issue with mushy fruit since I just add the frozen fruit and steep directly into the teapot (no defrosting needed). I can't really tell a difference in taste, but it just takes a bit longer to steep the flavors out.

That looks delicious! Have you ever had or made kumquat lime green tea? It seems similar, but it also has green or black tea. I used to have it all the time at a Taiwanese bubble tea cafe, but haven't quite been able to recreate it at home. I think this is the word for it: 金桔茶. Unfortunately it's hard to use that to search for more information in English. Thanks :)

+Duncan Boehle I've had kumquat tea before (not with the limes) and I really like it. I think it's similar to this fruit tea, but more tart. I'll add this to my video wish list. :)

You don't call this tea without actual tea leaves. You call this fruits infusion.
@Amaranthyne2 жыл бұрын
In Chinese, fruit tea is called 水果茶. Literally, water fruit tea. As the origin of the plant _Camellia sinensis,_ and the drinking culture surrounding it, I believe this is an acceptable translation even though it is more specifically called an infusion in English.

HI, may I know is fruits still remain the vitamins after cooked or boil? I tried many ways to search for related info but couldn't get the correct answer. I hope that you could assist me with your expertise. Thank you so much! :)

+charleen lee I'm not an expert, but I would assume the vitamins from the fruits in this recipe will be infused in this tea.
