Never add the marinade before putting the chicken on the fire, or at least not so much, the heat will end up crisping the marinade hard and the chicken wont get the heat to get done...Thats why it looks so toasted black, Thats burnt.. gradually base when on fire

Yes. The chicken should be half baked before rolling marinade over it. It should be slowly cooked so that there shouldn't be anything raw inside. Then the chicken would absorb all the spices to its core and become uniformly spicy and juicy inside. I prepare tandoori chaap this way and can relate to chicken too.

Nice And helpful video❤️ I have a question. What kind of coal you are using? I mean is it charcoal (half burnt wood) or normal coal (pit coal)?
@Dave_en3 жыл бұрын
Using charcoal is better as it imparts more smoky taste to the food. Regular coal is better than gas or electric stove but not better than charcoal.
@pivivis112 жыл бұрын
Seems like she is using briquettes, the problem is that she put the chicken on while the briquettes were still burning heavily instead of leaving the fire to settle and have the briquettes covered with some ash first. And then the fat starts dripping , and the resulting flames burn the chicken. And also not the healthiest way of grilling meat.
@K20TypeR Жыл бұрын
@@pivivis11yeh agree with this. Wait until your coal has ashed over. Also lump wood coal will burn hotter and impart a nicer smoked flavour than briquettes. The latter are better for low and slow

I enjoyed the video and the seasoning but I think you would have had a better result if you had waited until the coals stopped flaming and were white before adding the chicken. I think that you had too much charring on the chicken. Otherwise great job! I watched this about a half an hour before making some tandoori chicken myself on the grill.
@shitijsablania49952 жыл бұрын
I felt the same. The too much charring could have been avoided by your method

Some charting is good but cooking directly over coal for the entire duration will end I I work burnt chicken, not charred. You want to cook for 30-40 mins opposite the coals with lid down and then sear for an additional 5 - 10 mins, flipping often. Juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside
