@ Wonderful! I think there are a lot of us out here interested in learning various techno workflows using digis. I see you have Digitone 2 as well! So any tutorials on DT or DN will be much appreciated, many thanks!!

I highly appreciate the effort to create tutorials. In this case there could have been more optical zoom or image cut on the Digitakt device.

Hi and Thanks for the Feedback. I am looking for a post production Tool to zoom in on specific areas in the video. As a have a big 32" 4K screen I don't have issues of things being too small so I didn't consider it tbh

@ yeah, I (and probably a lot of other peoples) watch a lot of KZbin on the phone and for that it‘s too much dark desk for this kind of video..

Have to agree with another user, the idea of putting multiple sounds in a sample and use the grid mode is super smart. I started building presets with sounds I like, but for drum sounds this workflow makes so much more sense and is a lot immediate. I really learned something today, thank you for sharing your knowledge.

You are welcome! Using Sample Chains makes making beats a lot more fun. I have many different Chains for different situations. This Time I wanted to keep it simple.

OMG very nice. i hope for more. can you upload the 909 sample chains? and maybe you can also make a video on how to use them well. maybe in live situations

Hey Thanks! After I finish the Series I will make a DT2 Project with all the Sounds used an will put it on Bandcamp and Gumroad.

Oof I never thought of having a sample that is itself a whole bunch of kicks or whatever and then using grid mode. That is so much better than a folder of kicks. Thank you!

you're welcome! I learned this technique on the OT years ago and transferred it onto the DT. Yu can have up to 64 samples. There is an online App for making your own sample Chains for the DT: digichain.brianbar.net

I like the sound fiddling finesse and the comments, maybe we could use a quick view on each pattern, how to set up the basic trigs!
@slavasoloma16 күн бұрын
Yeah I have an idea for the next tutorial. I have an Oxi Sequencer and that helps to visualize the steps and the pattern itself a lot. As the next video will be more on sound design and mixing on the DT2

Really nice tutorial, can you explain me that kick on 15 pad? You said its for compressor so it have short evelope that there is no sound but still triggering comp?
@kaezega129118 күн бұрын
Global mute (green one) on track 15.
@slavasoloma17 күн бұрын
Thanks! It’s a copy of the Kick on Track 01! So it has the same sound that triggers the comp.
@sylvainrandour61511 күн бұрын
they are not answering you. you have to go to audio routing in the system menu and take off track 15 from TO MAIN and TO SEND routing , this way the full kick will trigger the comp but you won't here it in the mix ;)
@sylvainrandour61511 күн бұрын
and obviously dont mute the track (green one) otherwise the kick won't be triggered

This is ace! I have just bought all the samples from Samples From Mars and want to create some sample chains. I don’t have Ableton or any DAW, I just have a hardware set up. Is it possible to create sample chains without a DAW?
@slavasoloma10 күн бұрын
Hey thanks! Just search for the digichain online app! It’s free at lets you make your chains. There is an explanation on Elektronauts.com how to use it
@jamesphillips277110 күн бұрын
@ thanks, I’ll check it out now. Do you ever make sample chains of kits too or do you just stick to one type of sound in a chain? Thanks.
@slavasoloma8 күн бұрын
You‘re welcome! I use the same kids of sound inning chain but you could make whole kits with 16 samples and spread them over all the tracks on the dt so you can change the kits by swapping the sample slot instantly for example

I see you have the howler, how do you use it? I want to get audio into phone for short clips and also recording longer jams entirely in phone. I've heard it only does so in live streaming set up, not recording
@slavasoloma18 күн бұрын
In this case I just record my mic and the DT summed into it. If you put it in transfer/streaming mode you can plug it in your phone (I have an iPhone 15pro) and record straight into the video! This is what I did on my other jams the last few days. iOS and in my case the Blackmagic Camera and native Camera app recognizes the howler as an audio input.
@wljhawk18 күн бұрын
@@slavasolomaperfect! May have to grab one after all. Keep cranking out the jams!
@el_dani18 күн бұрын
If you just want to record the Digitakt you don‘t need an extra device: just connect Digitakt to phone by USB (phone has to be host), class compliant audio on Digitakt (not Overbridge) and off you go, record with any app or even process
@slavasoloma18 күн бұрын
@@el_dani that’s what i do if i just have the audio from the DT, DN oder AH. But when using other gear I have the Howler. It’s really convenient. Ist one press of a button and it’s recording
@wljhawk15 күн бұрын
@el_dani thanks for suggestion! I often record studio set up, but will keep in mind as an option. @slavasoloma ordered Howler and on it's way, much appreciated!
