All my rack are available for free and you can find the download link in the description of the related video.

You're crazy and your content is insane. thank you so much! I'm asking myself if you have a "how to" clip on a synth, that is very typical in modern techno. It's for example in these two songs, you'll notice immediately: LDS - Path to Kepler (more a reverb version of it).. or Roman Poncet - Route of Pain (min. 2:15, you can here it coming in)... Thank you in advance!

When dragging the 909 CORE KIT into the rack, it's not possible for me to see the waveform of the kick, on live 11 it's called 'bass drum' and instead of the waveform it says 'multisample mode' ?
@audioreakt3 жыл бұрын
yeah because for Live 11 they improve their core kit and used a differnet method (mulisample), but you can still pitch it, add effect etc...

Great tutorial as always Paul! Quick question. After processing these kicks and getting to the mixdown stage. Is it possible to leave your kick at 0DB instead of -6DB without the master hitting 0? It won’t be too loud?
@audioreakt4 жыл бұрын
Yeah let's say its safer to bring it at -6 like this it's let more room for the rest and you won't be clipping. But honestly sometime I forgot and it's still fine because ableton have more headroom above 0,so you really need to push hard to make it clip .

What do you mean by Foghorn ? What it appear in which track ?
@ferretruijen56364 жыл бұрын
All You Need Is Live Actually its not like a foghorn, but more a hard hitting stab siren. He has it in most of his tracks, the most famous one is definitely “Nico Moreno - Insolant Rave”. Its a special style in techno but haven’t seen a good tutorial on yt. Probably its possible to make the sound with Analog. Would love to see you try this! Keep up the good work!
@audioreakt4 жыл бұрын
Yeah Nico Moreno is very close to rawstyle/hardstyle , it's more hardtechno than techno, check tutorial about this genre you might find some closer stuff. I've planned to do a tutorial on him but I don't know when yet !

Crunchy as hell. I love it. But... How do you fit more sounds along that kick, it's already at 0db? Can you push bassline in that instead of just rumble? And what about dynamics? Don't get me wrong, I like what I hear, I just can't think how to squeeze more animals in the cage, because there's one hell of an elephant already ◉‿◉

I will usually bring my kick track to -3 or -6. Depend also your track, some track the kick is more important than other. Keep in mind there is more headroom in Ableton above 0, which mean if you go above zero you won't clip (except if you really go nuts).

nice video bro, although as always it refers to only samples which is unfortunately since i'm looking for tutorials that show how to create kickdrums from the ground up i.e. from as early as creating the sound in the synthesizer. although i'm looking for that for a long time now unfortunately there is just nothing out there showing it - which i believe is for good reason.. nonetheless there where some useful tips that also can be translated to the workflow with a synthesizer, thx a lot ;)
@Sk-oh7rv4 жыл бұрын
Hey man! You can find a couple good videos on this channel about synthesizing and also layering your kick. You should check em out!
@audioreakt4 жыл бұрын
Making a basic 909 kick from scratch it's "pretty simple", it come from a sinewave or triangle waveform where you apply pitch modulation. I've made a video about how to make kick with Operator ( same rack than the one used here for UMEK Kick), where I take the same process but try to add parameter, and to be honest without effect or layer you will sound very close to an 808 or 909 kick. That's why I used two basic raw / out of the box 909 kick here because that the kind of sample you have direct in ableton and it's raw/unprocess.

@@audioreakt nothing against her of being a woman in the music industry. She is having a great career. But there is all the reason to assume that she is using ghost producers.
