Hey. I know this video has been out for a while now but I just wanted to thank you. A LOT. Since a couple of months I’ve been completely lost musically and I didn’t write anything since. I’ve been searching and trying to compose but I just couldn’t. This video really. I mean. REALLY. helped me through this rough period. And I started being proud of myself again. All because of you. You deserve all the love in the world. Love on you bro ❤

Whats brilliant about Will's videos is that this ain't my bag at all. Not into techno in the slightest but I've followed along and picked up loads of techniques to take with me into my own tunes. Been vibing on my own little bass loop for hours now playing with my midi-controller that until now has just been severely underused. Every time I've watched one of these videos I've taken at least one thing from it and peppered it into my own songs. I made 70p on Spotify last month mate, I feel guilty not giving the guy a cut.

Instead of manually editing the velocity of the hat 16th notes you could just add the MIDI effect "Velocity", pick the preset "Add some random", tweak lo and hi value as well as randomness to your liking and be done. That would save a fair amount of time per track if you do it on multiple instruments.

@@EDMTips After purchasing a Native Instruments Keyboard this week, inside was a free copy of Ableton 11 Lite. In your opinion, is this version good enough to make these tracks you show in your guides, or is it too basic. I was thinking it may be a good idea to see how I fare with this version before making the plunge into the full suite.

Ahem Brother. Amazing these few elements sound great over Stephan's 7-minute track with just automating the elements within it rather than adding in loads of FX risers and splashes etc. Downloading the full track as I type to try and copy the full structure. Hey Will! I watched Ben Bohmers recent masterclass through PML. He talked about adding the 5th above his bass. The reason he have was to help take the lowest key of the bass, and help it get higher frequencies, so more easy to hear it!. I mean you probably knew that already! Worth a watch though! Sick video as always

@@EDMTips I'm happy you asked me, I'm always looking for the creation of sounds in particular on FM and Wavetable synthesis on the style of the French artists Vitalic and J.M. Jarre, the first focused particularly on EDM, the other instead is more melodic and quiet . Some things I can do but I don't want to "copy", it would still be interesting to know how to create certain FX or Pads rather than Texthure's. Thanks again for replying. 🙂 PS: I use Reason 12.

( thanks ) I felt a bit cheated at the beginning ( same as buying a free app that ask for money when you open it) cause it s free but we have to buy the pack to get the first kick sound. I was like « and other one that tricks me » I was not able to download the project file. Maybe link problem. So i felt like being cheat. Well i know your work hard and you create your own job making this for us. I feel now cheap whit that comment . I ll remove it
