i’m currently making the vegan version of this. instead of eggs i used an egg replacer powder i got at whole foods. and instead of butter milk i used a vegan buttermilk recipe (1cup plant milk to 1tbsp apple cider vinegar) ((didn’t use the whole cup, only the required amount in original recipe) , i also used unsalted vegan butter . i’ll edit this comment as soon as they’re out the oven . totally forgot to edit the comment but they came out almost great not the best muffin tops, probably has something to do with the egg replacer i used however they were still every delicious and earned quite a few compliment z HOWEVER i also made your banana vanilla cupcakes recipe vegan and this came out perfect (used the same vegan methods in this recipe)

This is the best recipe ever! The key is to not over mix. And like mentioned DO NOT open the oven at any moment while it’s baking. Just turn on the oven light and have a peak if you are tempted. Things I did differently were: I made buttermilk using half and half instead of milk; i didn’t use the topping; I used two cups of white sugar; after turning down the oven to 350 I let it bake for 11 mins.

Hey there! I want to make this as loaves.... should I reduce the 350 temp to a lower temp ...say 335?...and bake longer to ensure it’s baked through...?

So I ended up just baking it as two loaves cause I just really wanted to eat this! lol. It took about 45mins in the oven. I lowered the temp to 335 after 8 mins and only topped it with half the amount of streusel they got a beautiful rise and streusel crumble looks so pretty. They smell heavenly!
