The Best Ever
French Apple Cake
Welcome...a wonderful delicious French Apple Cake Recipe, great served with a Cloud of whipped Cream or a dusting of Powdered Sugar.
French Apple Cake
Ingredients:
1 cup Flour, sifted
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
2 Eggs, room temp
2/3 cup + 1 tbsp Sugar, divided
1/2 cup Butter, melted
3 tbsp Rum
1 tsp Vanilla
4 cups Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored & diced
9" Springform
Preheat Oven 350° F
Line Springform with Parchment Paper & butter the Form.
Combine Flour, Baking Powder and Salt, set aside
Beat Eggs until foamy, add 2/3 cup of Sugar, Vanilla, Rum and melted Butter.
Incorporate Flour and fold under Apples.
Fill Springform with Batter and sprinkle with 1 tbsp Sugar.
Bake 45-50 Minutes or until tester comes out clean.
Rest Cake for 15 Minutes then remove Springform, cool completely on Wire Rack.
Cut and serve with whipped Cream or dust with Powdered Sugar.
