I was lazy and finally tried now. Love it so much!! But shimmering part was different for me. After 20 mins opening lid on sauce pan, still meatball inside was a bit rare which was pink colour. I think I can get full same ingredient especially tomato sauce. We don't have it in Korea, so i used different brand. But i still loved it. Thank you :)
@jeankeats32005 жыл бұрын
Oh berother!!!! Do they look good. I never thought to sautee carrot and celery as a base for my sauce. I sautee garlic in olive oil with a pat of butter. I add some of my Rao's and let it bubble a bit then I add diced tomato that I put through the sieve. This way I don't need to add sugar because I've strained out the skins. Mine is zesty but not hot, a nice sunny and rich tomato flavor. I'd like to try the carrot celery thing though! Thank you for posting.

I always put the meat mixture on a cutting board, press it gently into an oblong about an inch and a half high, cut it into squares the size that you want the meatballs to be, then shape. This way they’re all the same size and you don’t have to keep digging into the mixture.

That's the way Nawny showed me to make meatballs and tomato sauce. Exactly right and magnificent. BTW. What to add a special effect. Add pork ribs to the sause at first then the balls. The ribs add a pork flavor falls off the bones. Simmer for hour and half then add balls last half hour. Manga bene. Stay true to heritage and can't go wrong.

I love using wooden boards but they get stained and I keep hearing they are bad for bacteria. I do have the plastic ones for meats, fish, chicken and veggies to lessen cross contamination for meal preps but I keep my wooden ones for bread, baking and day to day stuff.
