The pops and crackles gotten more significant in 2019. Mine came out before that and really only does it when the engine is cold. Feathering the throttle like you mentioned does help but it’s still over all pretty minimal on mine.

I know I told you before but I'll never forget when I did my first pull in Sport Mode late at night and I heard the pops for the first time and they scared the hell outta me. It's funny that you posted this video today tho cuz I was literally I mean LITERALLY trying to test out how to get pops some hours ago and what you described in this video is exactly what I was doing. The easiest and best way for autos is to step all the way on the gas and activate performance shifting/competitive mode and then it does it nonstop like your ZL1. Only thing is that mode only lasts for 8 seconds so I gotta hit the gas hard again for the mode to reenable but once I do that I get the same amount of pops as you. Just yours is waaaaay louder and deeper.

My 2020ss completely stock 10 speed pops like crazy, you just have to keep the rpm’s above 2k with the paddle shifters, like you said. It’s just back pressure.

Love doing this in my Camaro. I don't keep it as high in the RPM though, it can happen non-stop when you just barely press the gas. I have the Borla Atak so it is a good bit louder, and thats probably why I don't keep the RPM as high.

What’s the diff between the pop and the crackle sound? I thought the “pop” was that sound when you make a downshift and blip the throttle which gives you that sort of sound, and crackle is that you drive at high RPM and let go of the gas pedal, then the left fuel-air mixture pushes through into the exhaust and generate that continuous ”exploding” sound

They're more-so pops on the Camaro. The GT350 would crackle. It's a higher pitched sound.

My car finally arrived at the dealership on Monday so I was able to pick it up after work and was playing around with making it crackle and pop on the drive home. I'm limited for right now considering I need to keep it below 4000 RPMs for the break-in period, but I was still having fun with it! Question; does what mode you're in affect the amount of crackles? I was switching between them to test it out and it seemed like Sport and Track produced the most/loudest sounds. That's probably the case, but I haven't had a chance to look into it to verify.

Yes if you have dual mode exhaust keeping it in track or sport opens up exhaust fully..sounds better.. but also stiffens steering if you have that option.. you can go into settings and change it so it’s “exhaust sound” is always in sport or track.. put axle back on mine no mufflers and sounds da bomb! Lol

Hey Q great job. It's a lot easier in an automatic trans just put it in sport and floor it to set the shift points and it does it all by itself LOL, Question do you know why it pops? Keep up the good work Brother be safe out there. PS those are the best tunnels to do that around here LOL...

My guess would be fuel that doesn’t get burnt and burns threw the exhaust Chevy have a lil of fuel dump on decel I’m guessing

@@QueTheChaotic The reason it pops is because of un burned gas that hits the hot pipe and explodes. When you floor it it dumps a bunch of gas and when you let off or down shift the extra gas get sucked into the exhaust and pops Science who knew LOL Be safe mt friend...

I have a 20 2ss with mbrp axle back and second cat delete. Stock h pipe and 10 speed auto. It does it but not as much as the 6 speed even fethering the pedal.

Use the paddle shifters you can hold gears longer the sweat spot on the autos are 25-3000 unless you in performance shift mode oh yeah track mode holds gears longer and get more pops due to more fuel
