I got this bag pattern because I live near Clydebank and worked there for many years. By the way, one of the best known makers of sewing machines had a factory there, employing hundreds of people, Singer.

I made a beach bag for my sister out of the large size bag on the pattern. It is gorgeous and she loves it. Pulling the handles through was quite challenging and I ended up getting a hemostat from Amazon to get the handles turned. Thank you for the tutorial, and your added tips are which are very helpful.

You did a terrific job covering both the bag construction and a lot of great sewing lessons. I’ve been sewing a long time and like to make bags, the interfacing and padding materials are new to me. I’m going to have to do my homework on that but I have acres of fabric and miles of zippers collected over 30 some years, so I’m grateful for your pattern and terrific direction. Before KZbin we were just winging it, this is so helpful.

This is amazing! Such a concise tutorial, although, now after watching it, I think it might be a lot of work for a bag, but I love your design; it looks like a trough full of succulents! I have been sewing for years but I didn't know that you can cut a zip; I wondered why you were using such long ones. I do need to invest in some more sewing equipment; I've already found the clips on Amazon while I was watching lol, I also need a measuring square, and probably the turning tool as I use a chopstick. :D New subscriber here... and you never know, I might have the confidence to give this a try, one day!
