Tremendous pattern and very clear instruction. I was browsing through your bag patterns looking for something to keep my knitting in at the side of my chair when I came across this pattern. I am a compulsive sock knitter using a 9” circular so don’t need a big long bag. You make your projects very do-able and I am amazed at your generosity in giving these patterns free of charge. If you lived in the UK I would send you some flowers as a thank you but I send my thanks nevertheless. You’ve made an old lady very happy 💐

Great teaching style! Teaching is a separate skill from doing, and you’ve got both! I like that you’ve worked out all the small details…the ones we all would figure out for the second time! Thanks!

Hi sara. I would like to thank you for your tutorials. A few years ago i was suffering from many health issue's. It was due to my kidneys failing but at that point in time i wasn't diagnosed. Your tutorials, calming voice and the sound of your sewing machine was very calming to me. Thank you.

Thumbs up for this tutorial! I'm almost 70 and I've never seen this made in quite this way (or if I have, I don't quite remember)... goes to show you a young pup can teach an old dog new tricks. You not only are detailed in your verbal instructions, but, in the visual ones also. Great project by an even better instructor ... can't wait to give it a try myself. ;) P.S. Great praises for your camera person also.

Thankyou so much for this pattern and tutorial. Since my husband passed away last year I have been planning to turn my second bedroom into a sewing room. I am disabled so it is a very slow process and I haven't got very far atall! These storage bins are perfect for storing all those little things which get lost amongst the other stuff. I'm going to search out my fabric stash tomorrow and try to get at least one of these done next week. I will try to make little labels as well to say what is in them. I'm always searching for things I saw the other day but now they are nowhere to be seen!

Hi! I never sew before, it will be my first project. I have a question and maybe it is stupid, but I can't start without knowing it. I didn't understand the rectangular piece. The one I cut from the pattern that has the oval cut is too short to be the side of the storage bin. Would you mind explaining it to me? Thanks.
@bronwyncarr67143 жыл бұрын
The pattern pieces are the round bottom and a large rectangle that gets wrapped around with a handle cut out. There isn't a pattern piece for the rectangle but instructions are given in the cutting instructions for how big to cut that with your rotary cutter and ruler. Hopefully this helps but feel free to email sara@sewsweetness.com if you have any questions!

Did anyone else have problems fitting the bottom to the side or was it just me. After I made 3 of them, I realized the measurements were wrong. Is there some way to put the hole on both sides?
@bronwyncarr67145 жыл бұрын
I didn't have any problems with the ones I made. Did you line up your quarter markings and ease the fabric in? You can easily make 2 handles, just do it as 2 panels (allow for a seam allowance so cut them larger than 1/2 the one panel) make handles and then sew together.
