@@EagleUkes The 1st thing that came to mind was Van Halen's 'Unchained'....the 'producer' says....'Come on Dave, give me a break.' And DLR replies w/ 'Hey hey hey hey, one break....coooooming up!' LOL And I assure you, everyone thinks I'm the most boring person in the world.

Thanks for this Graham. I’ve been playing a couple of years and have often wondered if my technique with nails was wrong, and you have convinced me it is! Unfortunately I will have to unlearn a few techniques, as I prefer the way you play with flesh part of the fingers. Thanks for showing me the errors of my ways

Hi Richard.....it's never to late to try something different....a lot of uke players use their fingernails and the sound isn't pleasant to my ear....using the flesh of the finger or thumb produces a much softer, quieter sound and makes the uke much more pleasant to listen to...but...always experiment and have fun....👍😊🎵🎶💕

Thank you so much, this video is priceless , many great tips . I am sorry to hear about Rozz …. I had it 3 times and I had to get better fast because I was given garlic , onion, ginger turmeric water ; be careful giving her lemon and honey tea, if I was given that I would stay in bed for ever because of the great taste .

Thanks for this Graham - I struggle with more advanced strumming patterns but DUDUDUDU doesn't add much but this does. I might dig out my low G string as well

I've been asked for a long time to-do some strumming tutorials and never got round to it .... but I thought that whilst poor Roz is in bed with COVID I'd use the time to post something that, hopefully, folks will find helpful ...we have some prerecorded tracks ( in case of illness, holidays etc ) so we'll be still posting something on Friday....love to you both and all in Hawaii...👍🙂🎵🎶🥰💕

I dont have low g and see you use it then strum. I might get one on my other ukelele. Having troublegetting strings I like on it

..hi Nadine....I use my low G in my strum technique as it gives a great bass sound to the rhythm...I use Aquila 15U nylgut tenor strings which include a Low Wound G string....I've tried lots of different types over the years but love these...have fun and thanks for watching...👍🎵🎶💕💖
