It has comparable tensile strength to glass but absorbs water easier which decreases the strength dramtically. Also, it isn't as easily "wet" by the matrix resin as glass and therefore the laod on the material can't be transferred to the fibres as well. It's best benefit over glass is elongation and accounstic/vibration dampening.

To many resins. I am not sure but I think that one-third of the resin should be enough for that job. use a vacuum compression system to have better results...
