I make a conditioning food containing: bee pollen, isolated soy protein, dried no salt sprouted sunflower seeds and almond flour. I put in blender and serve. Sometimes I add perilla seed flour. Tons of protein which is superb IMO during the mount and conditioning!

I find my birds don’t care for blended veggies. I serve microwaved squash (cooled) with skin. They devour all of it in 24 hours.
@gailsack26353 жыл бұрын
I have my doubts about vitamin supplements but I do use it in moderation, not daily as suggested by manufacturers. Key IMO is tons of flight exercise!!!! Good diet, fresh water, good light and an abundance of flying is key to healthy transitions to any situations.

are there any specific recipes for making homemade egg food for Red Factor canaries? I have some that will be laying eggs soon :) I give them red Quiko egg food supplement mixed with their daily seed, hard boiled egg with the shell about 2-3x a week, and a different kind of red factor canary supplement..
@OCAVIARY4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have much experience with Red factors however make a similar mix to this. Just swap out the normal egg food for Red factor egg food. You could also add Caraphyll Red or versele-laga Can-Tax to this mix
@OfficialJorgie4 жыл бұрын
@@OCAVIARY thank you so much :) best of luck this year!
@maidenaholic2 жыл бұрын
I have red factor canaries, mix one egg, boil for 15 minutes first, then chop up finely or even crush it up, add 1Tbs of millet, one Tbs of brown cooked rice, 1Tbs of canarie seed mixed food that you feed them normally, and 2Tbs of grated broccoli, they love broccoli. That should do it for you.

Use the flat of your knife on top of the clove. Hit the flat of the knife and this will smash the garlic glove and the skin will come right off.

I am a new fancier of lovebirds in Pakistan and this will be my first season as such... Our breeding season going to start in October or November... Your above video is for Canary birds. So i have few questions: 1) Above soft food is suitable for lovebirds as well or not? 2) Do you have any videos on lovebirds as well? 3) Should i give this mixture daily to love birds or once or twice a week? 4) Should i add Nekton E & S, calcium in this mixture if yes daily or once a week? 5) As breeding season is start in October what extra things should i add in it or is this enough?
@zack2804 Жыл бұрын
Lovebirds are parrots. Anything that will work for parrots, should work for lovebirds. Canaries and finches are different.

Be careful feeding maggots to your birds they sometimes carry botulism which is very harmful to your birds a veterinary nurse told me this. I love the video.

I also offer organic black peat. No additives such as fertilizer! My bird relish eating bits of this peat. Trace minerals in this soil fed free of choice.
