Yes they are illegal. It's fine to have them, but illegal to sell them. It has to do with the small toys. Somehow american kids were eating the toys while kids in every other country were fine. Maybe it's down to parenting? Either way we can't enjoy them unless you're lucky and have easy(ish) access to foreign countries like relatives who can bring them over perfectly fine.

You can see 4 screws near the hinges at 10:22 in the video, I believe this is how he secured it to the wall, most likely they are spaced with the studs in the wall in order to mount securely
@tillyeq77658 жыл бұрын
He said in another comment to screw it to the wall studs while its open
@ShootingUtah8 жыл бұрын
most houses have studs of wood 2x4s that run vertically every 16 inches from center to center sometimes every 24 inches. you can tap on your wall and hear when the sound changes from a hollow sound to a nice tapping sound to find the studs then mark or measure them where you want your shelf and screw through the back peice of wood he has on the inside of the shelf into the studs of your wall. You can also buy a $10 stud finder at the hardware store that will shine a light and beeb when it finds the edge of a stud. it's a good idea to drive a screw or nail into your wall to double check the stud is where you think it is before you permanently mount anything. this does make holes so be careful.

+MrTrentonjeffro thx for tell me I will check it out
In the US, they *_don't_* sell Kinder Eggs, they sell (look closely) Cadbury Crème Eggs, no toy to choke on, just cream caramel inside the chocolate.

I bought all the supplies you listed. I cut the crown molding to 45 degree corners as you said, but then it would not fit to the bottom as yours did. I had to angle cut the edges of the bottom so the crown molding would fit with 45 degree corners. Then the top with your measurements was way to small. The top needed to be 26” x 12-1/4” to fit. I had to get plywood to make the top that large. Then the rope trim was not long enough so I had to buy more. I do have it built, just a little bigger. The fault for my problems are not really yours, but if you would have been more specific about the crown molding, I would not have had these problems or the extra expense. The flat edges of the crown molding must be 1” and the right angle to fit with 45 degree corners. I do appreciate your video. If not for you I would not have built this, so Thanks!

You would just simply screw the shelf onto your desired wall I guess
@xgoldenx97178 жыл бұрын
Salabetta if you were to store a gun in it it would be very heavy especially with the diamond plated steel in there. You would need some sort of reinforced walls with reinforced screws or something like that

Kinder is illegal because weapon is legal. So you can hide drugs in the shell, averything smaller than arm.
