Thanks for being an advocate for getting all the good stuff out of your cans! That's the one thing that irks me when I watch cooking videos--I know they're rushing because they don't want to run on too long...but hey, I'm an older person raised by Depression Era parents, and I can never leave even one bean (or anything) behind (the pot)!

You should treat Yō self to a bigger Le Creuset Dutch oven. I definitely need to try this recipe. I am from Michigan and last week I made a Hungarian Goulash it called for a sweet Hungarian Paprika. My daughter loved it. She is in college, so I let her take home leftovers for the week.

you are the most adorable chef! I am a foodie and love to cook too and I love your personality so much! I live in Spring TX and would love to cook with you sometime! You make everything seem so doable for anybody! And I am from the eyeballing school too hahaha. Thank you for you! oh ps... to share, one huge trick I recently learned that boosts flavors I discovered is called "blooming." I turn on my heat on medium to low med, put in my dried herbs and let them simmer in that oil for a few minutes. it so brings out tons of flavor - more than simmering! I was mindblown! I make my fam's homemade marinara this way and it is so amazing (and saves money too haha I don't have to add so many dried spices anymore). I really suggest giving that a try anytime you are working with herbs and spices in a dish!

Amy, I am obsessed with your cooking channel!! I have been making one or two of your recipes each week. The sunshine lemon bars were a huge hit on super Bowl Sunday! The strawberry scones and cheesy chicken casserole were a big hit with the family and I loved the ground beef vegetable soup! The tortellini soup will be my next treat for the family. Love you and so much and enjoy watching you on utube!!

I just discovered your channel and am loving it! Having grown up in South Texas I am very familiar with jalapenos, and I noticed that your pronunciation of jalapeno is just a 'little' askew. I'm going to attempt to sound it out for you by syllable, here we go...ha la peh nyo. Notice the y between the n and o? Normally there would be a 'little' squiggly line above the n giving it the added y sound. There you have it! I'll be watching to see if you paid attention...

What method do you use to clean your vegetables
@AmyRoloffsLittleKitchen Жыл бұрын
Depends on the vegetable. Rinse, use a food sponge to wipe scrub them off, rinse and a strainer to drip off the water and paper towel pat dry ....

Don't be afraid to try new foods the worsé that could happen is you do not like it and will never buy it again. I just discovered kale myself and it is very good. I've added it to soup, sauted it with garlic and olive oil and paired it with perogies and ive also eaten it in a salad.
