So if you didnt get it in the video ill explain it. So what he used to make that text the way it is is by using keyframes. Keyframes are used to chane a certain property in the clip at a certain time. In hitfilm you can put two keyframes that change any certain property that property will change smoothly. So he changed the opacity, rotation, and the scale. The opacity is for when it comes in and it goes away. The rotation is how it moved, and the size is how it zoomed in and out. Hoped this helped even though this reply was 11 monthes later.

how do you change like when you want the effect to happen in a clip?? I feel like moving my keyframes does nothing. Like I want the end of my clip to zoom out. But how do I make it zoom out faster?? Please help i've been stressing about this for a week and im very new to this program.

Sorry about the late reply but yes moving your keyframes does effect the speed of the effect. If you want your zoom in or zoom out to happen faster then just move the keyframes closer. When I was learning hitfilm I also struggled on this as well. There is a in depth video on keyframing on youtube so I suggest you should watch it

I asked this in another video, but makes more sense to ask it here, why do you do your edits in the compositor? Wouldn’t it be easier to edit to the best if ur editing in the editor and doing effects in compositor?
