@@inthemix Hi Michael and anyone who might be able to help... I've started using the fire and it's been such a fun device to play around with. I've unfortunately come across a problem though and it's not limited to the Fire: when I open a sample in a new channel, it shows me the preview window of the sample automatically I have now been searching for hours on how to disable this pop-up... It's extremely annoying and would just like to avoid getting my screen cluttered up whenever I load a new sample. Desperately need help with this.

I’m sure they’ll update it as soon as they can they’ll release update. But funk that link back with akai and make a keyboard to top native instruments komplete kontrol keyboard that defeats the purpose of knowing music theory, and i know a good bit of theory. But when i use the ni keyboard on fl, in order to keep recording the ni scale options, i have to keep playing with separate midi channels, when u guys can either become 100% ni komplete kontrol compatible or link with akai and top the ni Kboard. This video makes me chuckle, not just because you easily made a trap beat but because I swear you once said you’d never make a hip hop beat as you don’t like it (or something to that effect!). This clearly shows that anyone can step out of their comfort zone regarding genre as long as you understand the fundamentals of music production and you my friend, definitely understand! (I frequently refer to your videos to recap on things I get wrong or don’t understand) Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much man. I'm pretty experienced in this genre but I always learn something new from your tutes. Like putting the "gritty" high passed bass on top of the 808. I've been running into the issue ofy music only sounding good on good earphones, car and home stereo, but loosing all of the bass melody on Bluetooth speakers. I try my mixes on all of these, and have now learned the solution. Thanks so much. I would also love to hear more about how you created your own risers and falls. I pretty much have to stick with stock samples and process it to my own liking. Thanks again. One of the best trap beat tutes I've listened to, and everybody has done one. Great job.

I always "sidechain" by putting a peak controller on the kick, raising the volume/decay to get the envelope tight, and linking that peak to a fruity love philter with the volume at 0. It also works well on some distorted basslines to link it to a highpass filter with no resonance so you can layer on part of the attack from the high end, very messy but sounds interesting.

for 808s you can make them slide by adding a note above or below it in the piano roll and double click it and make it a slide note instead, its simpler in my opinion
@JMDigtalAU2 жыл бұрын
FWIW not all VSTi's support slide notes... But definitely try it first. The way he shows here is used for pesky VST plugins that only have a mod wheel and no slide note support. Hopefully VST developers have wised up to it in recent years, but there's always that *one* plugin that doesn't work quite right in your DAW of choice.
