Hey Craig! Really liked this one! Thanks for sharing that Rub and Mop recipes. Love the Cavenders that stuff is great! I see you tried an unconventional combo in the smoke tube........what did You think of the smell and flavor that it added? I need to try that! 👍 Ribs turned out Great! 👍 For a better smoke ring try salting the night before......it's like magic! It's funny because I was planning on doing ribs this weekend........Just salt, smoke them, then use something to make this Wild Rub I got from a friend??? I will be doing your recipe one of these days.....all your stuff is Excellent! 👍 Mrs. HMB liked your couch potatoes! 😁 Metal On! \m/

Thanks Ken! I wish I could ask questions about this. I started teaching myself to smoke last year. It’s been going great. Decided to look at some Memphis style ribs and I’m on the fence. I like for my meat to me super tender and I never use sauce. I pretty much have been using the mop recipe, without the oil added, and I’ve been spraying it instead of mopping. I’m kinda scared of this rub added at the end. How good is the flavor smoking with only salt and mopping? I was going to try this today but I think I’m gonna wait. Super excited about trying it though! But I wanna smoke mine with the rub on it. Hopefully someone can give me some insight.
@BehindtheGarageBBQ2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kellie, thanks for watching! This memphis style ribs are a totally different way of doing ribs, the taste ypu get off of just the salt and mop gives you a more true pork taste, the dusting of rub at the end adds another layer of flavor, so darn good, start by adding a lite coating of the rub at the end, add more to your desired taste, I first had dry rub ribs at Pegleg porkers in Nashville a few years ago, and I was sold😁 give it a shot, you'll definitely enjoy it! The rub works great on wings too, I have a video for it also🙂 any other questions, feel free to ask , once again thanks for watching, much appreciated! Have a great one, you all stay safe! Craig BTGBBQ 👍🍻
