I boil the tea with the water, then strain it into a cup. It's stronger that way.

@@buranko9623 We never did that with Sri Lanka tea leaves. We mix boiled water with the leaves and set it on lowest fire for 10-15min. You get bold full flavor but it won't work with any brand tho. So you may do your tests many times till you reach the sweet spot. Not sure about the Turkish one yet.. doing my tests

Türk çay üreticilerinin bize söylemediği şey, çayın içine biraz sıkılmış limon eklenmesi gerektiğidir. Türk çayına özgün tadını veren şekerin yanı sıra limondur.

The peculiarity of Turkish tea is its tart taste, which is achieved by a bathhouse in a double kettle.

The colour isn't red enough, the colour is also an important part for the tea. The traditional way is better

Because it's not the way you do it.
@ismata32743 жыл бұрын
You need the double pot. The pot and the style you use it makes sure you never boil the leaves, but never let them get even warm, because leaves must be kept at a temperature just below boiling. Too hot, mush. Not hot enough, that's one raw(çig) tea meaning not done. Not long enough, the same, a raw tea. Not worth drinking if the real one is present. This one is to be able to drink some hot beverage to keep one up and warm when no çaydanlik is present. As in dormitory. Even then, we have electric double pots to properly steep tea so this is for really dire situations. And poor people properly steep their tea too. It's not expensive to get a çaydanlik and it's quite durable. But it has a specific using style. Don't forget, never get the leaves get even a tiny bit cold but never get them to boil. Just like melting chocolate or preparing egg yolks without direct fire, forgot what the double pan and water in between style technique is called benmari or something. Same reasoning.

@@khansabah4111 Oh, no problem, it's just tea after all, not the water from spring of immortality. I personally dislike both raw tea and boiled tea. Too long steeped bitter tea clashes with me too. And can only drink coffee one small cup a day, and it's to societal or other (to wake up basically😅) reasons, definitely not for coffee taste. Not everyone must like the same thing. And use the same methods. Especially about acquired tastes like bitter herbs, just like coffee and tea here. Take care.
