Why do you use oil and then coconut oil? For flavor?
@astigvegan8 жыл бұрын
Hello! I use refined coconut oil to add fattiness to the crumbled tofu, the same fattiness that people love in Filipino meat spaghetti. The regular oil is just for the sauté (also same with Filipino meat spaghetti). If you don't mind not getting the exact taste, please feel free to omit the refined coconut oil. Hope that clarifies. Thanks!

hi! i'm a new subscriber. my request: i don't know if you have done such but i hope you could also make some foreign inspired vegan foods that use vegetables that are available in the philippines (instead of the usual vegetables that are only available and affordable in the US) with info on carb and protein ratio. i really wanna consider going vegan. the reason for not doing it is because most vegan foods i see are quite expensive to make. i wanna know how to use the vegetables available in the philippines and know which ones to use in order to get enough vitamins, carbs and protein on plant based foods. if it's not you, i hope you could point me to some clear direction :)
@astigvegan7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeane! Thank you for the feedback. I have tons of recipes that uses vegetables widely available in the Philippines that are affordable. Recipes like Laing, Munggo, Champorado, Lumpiang Shanghai, and Adobong Kangkong to name a few. They have a variety of ingredients that are packed with nutrients as well protein. If you're looking for the exact ratio, I'm afraid I don't have the means to calculate them. And I'm not too sure who else can do it for you. For now, I advise to keep your vegan dishes varied so you're always getting plenty of different nutrients. I hope that helps. Sorry for the late reply! Let me know if you have more questions. I'm here to help :)
