Thank you so much Crowne Prince! This video was expertly made, and it highlights many interesting aspects of gaming, in a way that captivates the audience. I was enthralled by Cyan Studios' new game, which I never knew existed, and it filled me with joy. For an introvert like me to make this comment shows how much I love your work. Keep being awesome! God bless.

Thanks for making this Crowne. This was really informative and I loved the combination between the interview/PAX footage and animation of your character you had going on. The biggest thing I was wondering about how 3D games are made is how they work with all the 3D models being made in and imported from a program like Z Brush or 3D Max, sized and scaled to come together to make the worlds and objects, characters etc. and how they are made to work on different systems and work properly, especially huge open world games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It's amazing to see how big PAX is and how many games and the developers can be there all at once.

This was such an interesting video, I loved the animations that were also done in real life,my hat was really creative! I love people who blog/ interview at conventions at these just to see the diversity and amazing things since I can't go to these. Also, WOAH THERE IS A MIDI CLARINET?! THAT EXISTS?! Wow.
@TheBeatfox7 жыл бұрын
That's an Akai EWI (electronic wind instrument). They've been making them since the 80's. The finger layout is mostly based on a soprano sax, but they typically have different instrument fingerings you can switch between. I remember back in the early '90s a fusion jazz musician came to my elementary school classroom to show one off - that was a really cool experience!

how did you animate your wolf on top of the real video? I noticed that the wolf was shorter than basically everyone and that when the wolf sat down, there were no human feet coming off the chair. Did the person you interview have to stare at nothing to make it seem like your character was there?

Having a cartoon character talking to real people raises a lot of disturbing questions. What does the OC feel like? Is she fuzzy? Or is she really smooth and flat? What about stuff like the anatomy? Does she have internal organs? What about the things we DON'T see?

Crowne! I love your animation over live style, it is lots of fun. Can't wait to see more Kibble and streams!
@TinyWorlds7 жыл бұрын
I don't think the VR guys actually used rotoscoping for animating their 3D characters. From what I know, you record a video as reference, but you don't overlay it over your 3D model or anything. Rather once your model is rigged/ready to be animated, you use the controls on the model to move the different parts and re-create the motion as you see it in the video. The video was really interesting, great interviews! Made me realize all the technical terms we use/ how to better explain game development to non-developers.

I really liked this video, especially reminds me of going to Pax East in 2011. Man, how things have grown. One other interesting thing about Snake Pass, I met the devs at GDC. They way the character is created, they used a bunch of sphere colliders to have him able to wrap around posts and stuff. I don't know how they do the skin, but that would be cool to know.

no coding to make a game? Now that's interesting, I'd love to make a game like that.

kaciekk In my opinion, it's easier to learn how to code, because most of those "no coding required" things are just coding with blocks and flow charts, which really slows things down.
