The great thing about this is that you can use the mathematical principles in non-animation software. It's not as impressive, but it gets the job done.

While I don't have any plans for a bounce animation I really appreciate the pointers. Between the play by play of the what, how, and most importantly why and the zoomed in camera on the actions and the showing of each steps progress of each piece of the lesson; I think I've learned more from 6 minutes from you than I did from 6 hours from my last art teacher. Thank you.

Thank you so much for posting this tutorial. I remember seeing this a few months back and kept it in a playlist so I could try it later. It did take me hours to figure out the whole Flash thing since I've never used an animation program before but I've finally got it down to a point that I'm satisfied. Thank you so much for helping me learn to animate one of my favorite things from Mystery Skulls Animated!

Another thing you can add: right before you move the he'd to the resting position, add a frame and stretch the head upward to make it more bouncy. You did something similar in your video on animating blinks

When I was in school, I'd do things like write out the Fibonacci sequence until either class was over or I reached a number that couldn't fit on a single page. It was great for zoning out since math, especially addition, takes almost no thought. Of course, when I got more into art, I started drawing detailed drawings of skeletal and muscular structures, but that was because I sucked at drawing living things. Still can't draw a proper human, though. I always end up skewing it towards Cowboy Bebop proportions, which I honestly don't mind that much.

Hrm, you actually might need to add a touch more to this tutorial, as it ignors an important item I spotted in the Ghost animations, but it was specific to the human characters. A lot of them had a "reverse bounce", especially at their shoulders that worked in sync with the head bounce....

@ValorZeroAdvent8 жыл бұрын
So basically, it's like manipulating the acceleration and velocities of movement to achieve a good bounce effect, yes? With that, possibly I could experiment with different velocities and accelerations of movement by adjusting frames?
