Thank you for this! I work with non profit organizations quite a bit and it’s always a challenge to find solution that we can afford. Question: Does it allow you to temporarily zoom into a portion of your screen? That focus dot is too small for my audience who tends to have trouble reading small text.

@NewEdTechClassroom4 жыл бұрын
Hi Meghan, so sorry for the long delay in responding here. You can find your screencastify videos in a folder in your Google Drive called Screencastify. As far as showing two tabs at once, your best bet is to split your screen. You can use a screen splitter like Tab Resize to split your screen into different parts (e.g. halves or quadrants).

I don't have a lot of experience with this specifically b/c I'm a Humanities teacher, but my understanding is that EquatiO is a very popular digital tool for math that might help you here: www.texthelp.com/en-us/products/equatio/ You could add EquatiO as a Google Chrome extension and then make your video tutorial. I make math videos on my iPad using the built-in screen recording app. I can use the Apple Pencil and my writing looks just like it does IRL. The kids can’t see my face, though.

Thank you Suzette! How did I not know there was a built in recording app?!?! I have an apple pencil also!!! I'd SOO much rather use that! What do you write on? Could you give me a little more info? This sounds exactly what I'm looking for!

Hi Sam, thank you for this video. I think it is really going to assist teachers with remote teaching. Just a question on the number of free videos... is it 50 free videos in total, or per month? (Not that I will be using all 50, just a question)

Right now you can get Screencastify unlimited completely free, so no limit on videos! When prompted to pay for a subscription, enter the following discount code: CAST_COVID

aren't the editing options only available for the paid version? Also, isn't there a 10 minute time limit on the videos on the free account?

You can edit with the free version, and the video length is actually only 5min for the free version. That being said, an easy work around to to simply make a Part I or Part II tutorial. Though if you are regularly making long video tutorials, it would probably merit purchasing the paid version (it's pretty cheap). I've only ever used the free version myself though!

Hello, how can you put a different background in the embedded video? I don't want to show my place. Also, how can I have my video embedded like yours? meaning NOT in a square box BUT only your face & body silouhette appear.. thanks for your reply, hopefully quick as I don't find the answer anywhere. Thanks!

I use a green screen to get rid of my background along with an app called Screenflow.

How did you create a smooth zoom in effect in your video?

I use a program called Screenflow: www.telestream.net/screenflow/overview.htm?&gclid=CjwKCAjwvZv0BRA8EiwAD9T2VeGlH_8LFv9Sj1OQGJq1vsyCb13Z7wik1gUEspNKM3uW5LVJ3mkFvRoCrd0QAvD_BwE
