This has been a huge help! However, I noticed the length of the video is only 5 minutes now, not 10. Not sure if they changed it after you made the video. BUT this has been such a huge help! I'm a band teacher making the switch over to online teaching due to coronavirus and it's so helpful to be able to show the kids how to do this rather than trying to fit it into an email.

I love Screencastify! It's so easy that I don't need to read any guidance to get started. It suits my general recording needs with a time limit within 5 minutes. Besides this tool, there are a great deal of Chrome extensions like Nimbus, Loom. You can also apply some online screen recorders including Screencast-o-mastic, Apowersoft online screen recorder. All these are good for screen capture without downloading.

Another good option, one that's entirely free and without limitation (open source), is OBS Studio. It is incredibly powerful including the ability to change focus from one window or screen to another. You can have it record any number of windows, screens and webcams and automatically switch between them if you set it up like that. It's not quite as easy to use as this but if you use it for simple stuff it's still pretty easy. And it doesn't have the issue of putting your recording out on the cloud, everything is local on your machine.

Hi there! Sorry for the late reply, just saw this. Please check your microphone settings in the system settings of your computer. Make sure your mic is enabled. Try plugging in a headset/earphones that have a mic and see if that works.
