How to Make Vocoded Memes in Audacity (+error message fixing) TUTORIAL

Howdy all. I'm seeing a lot of comments talking about stuff that's gone wrong, so here I am trying to fix. 1. Stereo tracks don't match error - First, select both of your mono tracks, then, under the tracks bar, hit mix and render, that should mix the 2 together for you. 2. My music overpowers my words - There's a few things you can do. Firstly, increase the gain of your voice track by about 15-20 dB. Your voice will almost certainly be quieter than the music. If this still doesn't help, them select your music track, decrease the gain a tiny bit, and then under the effects tab, click amplify. You then wanna "de-amplify" it, to about -10. Those 2 combined should bring your vocals out a bit more. 3. My music track's lyrics overshadow everything - It's extremely hard to vocode actual songs. Almost all of the time you want to use instrumentals. Try finding a backing track or removed vocals version of your song instead. 4. My song is so unclear - Sorting your vocals out like in step 2 helps a lot. Also, for it to sound better, you want to increase the number of vocoder bands to max. When you click on vocoder under effects, and you see that screen with loads of slidy bars, the option under the "output choice, both channels" drop down box should say vocoder bands. It is on 40 by default. You wanna slide that up to as far as it can go (240 I think). This means it'll take significantly longer to process, so you'll be waiting longer, but it's worth it! Hope this helps some people :)

Thanks for the tutorial! When I try it, it seems that there is too much white noise and it is difficult to differentiate between the music and the vocals, and reducing the amplitude of white noise neutralizes the vocoder effect thoroughly. Do you have any recommendations regarding how I can remedy this?

I'm trying to fine-tune an RVC cover with G1 Soundwave and RVC stripped out his vocoding so I'm trying to put it back. This version doesn't sound "shiny" enough like most vocoded memes/audio do. How do you get that nice shiny-sounding effect that most vocoded memes and Soundwave have?
