What are your guys favourite interactions in VR games?
@Jaxru4 жыл бұрын
Boneworks do a lot right I think when it comes to collision and interaction with objects
@AlexClarkeGame4 жыл бұрын
@@Jaxru Yeah, I definitely did enjoy boneworks and interacting with everything in VR, they did a good job with that stuff

I have a question how to make an interactive game with some objects without vr ? I mean like controlling some vents inside the engine

We need more vrdevlogs like yours that use Unreal. Thanks for these!

These looks like a really solid set of interactions. It's amazing what you can do with VR and I feel like I'm left behind on it as my experience developing for it was about 4 years ago now.
@AlexClarkeGame4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I haven't been developing VR for too long, but using and learning from all the other VR games that have been made has helped a lot. VR development has progressed so much over the past few years and it's great to see the progress in the games that have been made!

@@AlexClarkeGame A.C. Try this ;) Google what you want to do, then add GITHUB or MIT (you probably know this) and you'll probably find great magic to reverse engineer! I learn best that way too.

😂 "Playing with your Ziggys is so much fun" "Hello, RSPCA" . Really enjoyed this devlog funny and informative. 👍 Subbed
@AlexClarkeGame4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I often joke that if RSPCA cared about VR aliens I would be in big trouble. I'm glad you enjoyed and thanks for subbing :)

I'm hoping to start production on my first 'non-university-related' VR game once I finish uni in May. Really like the look of your channel; even this video was helpful because despite having heard about the VR expansion plug-in before, your clips of it made me realise that it allows me to do what I need to do in my game as well! My final project for Uni is a VR game, and I wish I had used the plug-in from the start now, haha.
@AlexClarkeGame3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, I'm definitely glad I found the plugin when I did. My final project for Uni also happened to be about VR! kzbin.info/www/bejne/noa9kIOMbLiVq9k

Interesting how you're actually making a vr version of a real world button, switch, etc. I'm curious about how it impacts the performance and if there is an easier way of doing it. Physical interactions are the only option in VR, it's the whole point of VR. It's there to put you in that space and when things that are intuitive 9flip a switch with your finger/hand) do not work as you expect them to within some facsimile of real life it quickly breaks the immersion and the reason for being in VR. Good video!

How's come you went from developing VR in unity to unreal engine?

hi im a student and preparing for a competition about vr development(make a scene that has interacitve functions,character,animation,level designs ) ,sametime, has a UI platform . The subject is about learning English,also my idea is to grab the letters from one box to combine a word on a screen as a beginner idk how long it would cost (i must finish it in 1 mouth) and is there any courses help me study this ?
