Great video, learning by practicing is so much better. Even if all you do is copying a few lines of code that you see in each lesson. It's much more effective than just taking notes. I know this because I tried everything and the only way I could learn (and retain what I learned) was when I started doing that. Once a friend suggested me a few books with interactive content, that made me practice what I learned at each chapter. But a suggestion following the syntax you were using. why use if (data.weather[0].main == 'Clouds') { weatherIcon.src = 'images/clouds.png' } else if (data.weather[0].main == 'Clear') { ... } instead of weatherIcon.src = `....images/${data.weather[0].main}.png` Remember to rename the first letter of each image you are going to use.

It did not go as planned. I had to create a function that converts the city name into it's lat and lon (even though the tutorial is only 1 year old). But that was a challenge that helped me write some more code without mindlessly copying from you. Great video nonetheless. I will look at the rest of the playlist.

the Console.log() is only for testing the code in the browser console. It does not do anything to the app itself. That's why it was removed. Basically, it is not part of the code. It was only used to show the information returned in the variable Data.
