This is gorgeous! I couldn't imagine doing it for any more than 20 guests 😂. Half of my guest list would be getting these, the other half printed on cardstock 😩

This is so pretty! Was the actual invitation printed on cardstock or regular printer paper?

Amazing how you plan all the design!

Thank you! Planning it out before trying to put together the design on the computer is key!

That's super pretty! And you use to do this for hundreds of guests?!😱
@SimplyHandmade7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, I used to do hundreds of these invitations for a single wedding. It can get VERY tedious but I really loved when I got messages from my brides telling me how much they loved their invites :)

Anyone... when you print them out do they come with like a 1/4 border around. Do you trim the edges? Or how do print so images as borders hit the edge.
@SimplyHandmade4 жыл бұрын
Hope this isn't too late but you print and cut down to size! I don't know of any at home printers that will print to the edge.

how did you edit or what did you use on dragging all those flowers. not so techy here
@SimplyHandmade7 жыл бұрын
Hi April! I used Adobe InDesign to drag in the flowers and to overall edit the invitation. I didn't want the video to be too long but maybe I can create a dedicated video to show you exactly how I created the invite on the computer. Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in :)

I would be totally interested in knowing more. Thank you! It’s gorgeous!

Simply Handmade I'm interested too. Please do a video explaining how to. I've been wanting to learn how to use InDesign but I'm really struggling.

Can you do a video showing how you did the envelopes.🙂🙏🏽
@SimplyHandmade5 жыл бұрын
Hi Maria! It's not too different from the actual wedding invitation. I just designed in InDesign and printed directly on the envelope :)
@nostressbeblessed6 жыл бұрын
Did you customize the envelopes if so how?
@SimplyHandmade6 жыл бұрын
I did! It wasn't too hard. I customized the document size like I did with the invite and printed it directly on the envelope. :)

Hey I absolutely love this video but may I ask what type of paper did you print the invites on? Is it cardstock? If so what is the thickness?
@SimplyHandmade6 жыл бұрын
Yes! I got the cardstock from Michael's and i believe it's 80lb in thickness.

How much did you charge for 100 of these?
@SimplyHandmade4 жыл бұрын
Kenya Dawson I don’t sell invites anymore but to make these, they would for sure be a few thousand for 100 because of all the labor! It’s definitely an intricate design
@MaaheVe6 жыл бұрын
it is CHIPBOARD SHEET?
@SimplyHandmade6 жыл бұрын
chipboard varies in thickness so I've linked the one I used in the description box. Hope this helps!

This is amazing but couldn't you just save your design and upload it on a printing site to be printed? I love handmade things, but I couldn't imagine doing a hundred by hand.
@SimplyHandmade7 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Of course you can save it and send it off to a printer but it's much more cost effective to do it all on your own. I didn't do invitations before I got married and seeing the cost of what I wanted vs. what I could afford I opted to do it on my own... trust me, it is VERY tedious .. choosing a good show to binge & recruiting bridesmaids could help that. lol.
