Even though I've seen this video many times over the years I'm still amazed at how beautiful the necklace and earrings are.

you really make this wire work look easy. Thanks for sharing this video

Many different wires will work for making earring hooks. The main criteria is that the wire is clean, and if it is coated, that the coating is not flaking or rubbing off (double check this once you bend the wire). The most common wires for making earring hooks are sterling silver, silver filled, gold filled, and copper - all these work very well. If you have any metal allergies, you will want to stick with surgical steel. Do not use aluminum wire.

I love this tutorial. Thank you for all the informative videos you make. I have a question about the ear wires. Are you able to use any wire you want? I had heard before you should only use a certain kind when it will pass through the ear itself. Since I could never remember what type, I have never made any. Would be great to be able to make our own instead of buying them.

Hi! 25 gauge wire is actually thicker then 26. I am actually thinking it has more to do with your actual wire then the gauge. What type of wire are you using? Is it steel wire, craft wire, beading wire, picture hanging wire, etc? Also, do you know if it is dead soft, half hard, hard, etc??

You can work with 26 gauge so easy.. (I am a beginner and)I bought some wire that is 25 gauge and I just cannot make it stay like I want it, it just unfolds back.. Do you have any advice on how to get control of it or maybe I should just throw it away and buy some thicker one? Thank you

i just wanted to ask if it really needs to be this specific hammer or could be an usual hammer
@beadaholique9 жыл бұрын
+nicinhasofia Many types of hammers will work for this as long as the head is smooth and not dented. I would not recommend a household hammer, this will probably mar your metal.
