Hi Techscrew Your Information was great many thanks, however the main reason I looked at your site was to find out the actual connections for conductivity i e -1 and +1 for the most common connections. You seemed to assume that information was was already known, maybe I'm wrong , but that was the information i was looking or ? maybe i mossed it but the rest of the instruction was excellent.

What is the best recommendation on how to extend a speakon cable run? I need to get atleast 100ft out of a speakon cable. Connecting to passive power speakers - not sure which extender to use to ensure proper functionality

Can I connect ..+1 and -1...+2 and -2....on one end..to both + and - on other side. ?
@davidsomo1651 Жыл бұрын

Hello, We call this procedure a botch. Firstly, you only use reasonable speaker cable, e.g. Sommer cable. then you use ferrules because that's just the way it is now to do. what is the biggest mistake here is you never twist two wires and then stick them in one pole, that's the biggest crap ever. and if you only use such inferior aids and no sensible tools, you can assume that these cables will not last long and will break before long.

The biggest mistake here was using the screwdriver like that. Sure fire way to end up stabbing yourself in the palm.

Can I use 2.5mm cable?
@Techscrews3 жыл бұрын
of course, also 1.5mm, it all depends on power
@andreaschristodoulou42744 жыл бұрын
I consider this job for amateurs. No need to use 4 wires cable just to double the wires a 3 x 2,5mm or 2 wire its enough, (those can handle more than 20 Amps) by the way always solder the ends.
