A very simple recipe that anyone can make in just minutes! 🤩 From sweet toppings like chocolate and jam to savory food like cheese, olives or tomatoes, these yeast crepes are sure to impress.
You'll need
1 cup warm milk
2 cups warm water
1 egg
2 ½ cups flour
10g instant yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 cup = 200 ml.
Here’s how
1- Mix together 1 cup of warm milk, 2 cups of warm water, 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar and 1 packet of instant yeast (10g.) in a mixing bowl.
2- Add 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of salt and 2 + 1/2 cups of flour and continue mixing.
The amount of flour may vary depending upon the brand you use or the size of the egg. If it is not enough, you can add 1 more tablespoon of flour. The batter should be neither too thin nor too thick.
3 - Cover the batter with cling film and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes until the surface gets foamy.
4 - Apply oil to a non-stick frying pan with the help of a brush.
5 - Once hot, pour a ladle of the batter into the pan and spread it.
6 - Cook until bubbles pop on the surface and the bottom is cooked. Then flip it over with the help of a spatula and cook for a few minutes on the other side.
7 - Once both sides are cooked, transfer to a serving plate. Repeat until all the batter is used up.
