How to make your 370z Sound like a GTR | Torqen Test Pipes Install | Before & After

My 370z Nismo just received some Torqen HelmzHoltz Test Pipes / Art Pipes ! These will give your Z or VQ sound more like a 8 cylinder and allows more exhaust flow for more mid to high power! Let me know what you guys think of the sound?!

i made an oopsie and ordered these for my awd g37 (it hits the front drive shaft on the right side) cut off that resonator and put it on the Y pipe i may be the only awd G with torqen helmz resonated test pipes 😂

To change the test pipes do you have to tune the car? Or can I put the test pipes on it and tune it later?

You don’t have to tune the car straight away but you will want a tune to maximise the power potential of the test pipes. You’ll probably get a CEL because of the MAF sensor but it will run fine without a tune.

I have similar test pipes like these, basically motordybe test pipes. Didn’t u have to remove exhaust shield and also studs that may touch the pipe or very close to it under there

I didnt remove the heat shield.. HOWEVER, im getting this ANNOYING rattle underneat the gas pedal at low rpm like the test pipe is touching something!! Is this my issue!?! The heat shield?

The headerside flange has a O gasket ring yes. The side by the midpipe is normal flange gaskets

@@aidenquiles yea, that’s the issue, if that’s not it, maybe a bolt that pokes out the frame of the car is very close to the test pipe. When they install motordyne test pipes, or any version that are like them, u have to shorten those bolts that poke near the art pipes.

Aye bro if youre getting a isr y pipe dont with art pipes, shit is soo raspy at 3k rpm, i ended up getting a y pipe with a resonator and man it screams without ear piercing rasp.

Sounds pretty good but I am going for something a little more tame. Please, could you tell me if you have fumes in the car now? Cats burn off the smelly stuff... Is it really bad smelling??

The point for the helmholtz isn’t for it to sound like a gtr lol. It’s to eliminate rasp and drone. If you really want to sound gtr-ish you have to go motordyne or ark. Trust me i had ark already and that’s the closest i got to gtr sound. I’m waiting on my art pipes but I’m not chasing gtr sound and this definitely doesn’t sound like a v8 either lol
