I keep one of these for my pier fishing backpack along with a crock sticks turn block sharpener...they take a very sharp edge! Usually just fillet spanish mackerel with it and it works fine.There's probably a load of knives that hold an edge longer but i doubt they get any sharper. I don't care how long the edge lasts really as it's so easy to bring back to hair poppin sharp on the crock sticks.
