This is what I did to replace those cheap plastic poles that come with the volleyball nets. Let me know what you think!

I was gonna go old school and fill tires with concrete and use square wood the only thing there heavy as a bear to move. I’m totally trying you method here! Thanks for posting!

Brilliant. Thank you. You just saved me a bunch of time. I had similar plans to you, but the ground sleeve part I was at a loss on what to use.

Great idea and really gave me a lot inspiration of creating Volleyball poles.

Mix some concrete and add it to the inside of the pole. It will make the pole almost impossible to bend in case someone hits/grabs the top of the net. As you add the concrete, tap the pole on the ground to insure the concrete is well packed.

Worked great for a badminton set. I used 3/4 pipe for my girls for light use, not adults playing hard and running into the net. Pvc in the ground. I put multiple clips in to raise or lower net for volleyball or badminton. Thank you! Best idea on here.

Nice job. The nets and ropes will stretch over time, so I think I'd look into adding some cargo ratchet straps to help cinch up the net even more.

What did you mean by pinching the end? Which end? The pole or the 2ft you put in the ground?

How come you didn't use top rail vs conduit for the pole? Thank you.

Did you drill a hole in the top rail to drain rainwater?

Love it.. thanks for this. I'll be testing this out this weekend. the top rail that you used was 2ft on each side? or 1ft each?
@linkseo8 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same thing. looks like 1 foot driven to the ground
@t-towngarage2178 жыл бұрын

Is that pvc or steel conduit?

what size is the toprail? so the pole fits in perfectly?
@t-towngarage2174 жыл бұрын
unfortunately it's been awhile and I don't remember. I would measure the outside diameter of your pole and then go to the hardware store and just measure the inside diameter of the top rail.

how deep did you dig the toprail in the ground? I know you said you got 2 feet of it, but did you use 2 feet for each side or split the 2 feet and 1 foot in?
@t-towngarage217 Жыл бұрын
Two feet on each side.
